Yep... Gotta luv the bravado. Now back that shit talking up and build some credibility with your new fanbase.
Pfffttt...for as much as we bitch, the defense is the LAST unit I'm worried about. Reddick can shoot his mouth off all he wants, he just went from the 26th ranked defense to the 3rd. (based on 2023 stats of course) It would be damn nice for a change to see someone ON offense show a little swagger...
Just once in their miserable existence, I'd like to see the Jets tell their players to shut their fucking mouths, just play on the field, and let that do the talking. Talk after the fact, not before. But it'll never happen.
That happens with every single team and player in the off season with each signing. Sure, the Jets should tell new players to stfu and don't dare say anything positive after signing. Your title fits like a glove..
Nah that's not true. The better teams don't talk shit nearly as much. They're well coached and disciplined. And yes, PROUDLY. Unabashedly proud of how it fits.
He's right, we're not ready for what's about to happen. But, that doesn't mean that we don't know exactly what's coming. We're going to be briefly teased by some early season success. Rodgers probably comes out of the gate looking somehow better than he did in his MVP seasons, and then it all comes crashing down by some inexplicable turn of events that could only happen to the Jets. We all know it's coming, but he's right, after the past 13 years of this nonsense, I don't think anybody's ready to go through that nonsense yet again.
Sorry, but this thread is a lot of getting worked up about nothing. It’s even unclear as to what it actually means. It is also not true that good or great teams do not speak out of have troubles. KC and the Pats for starters have had a of issues away from the field of play. There is always one or two out spoken passionate players that tell it like it is on every team. The key is make true on your proclamations. That is where our coaching staff has fallen flat, much more so than the players.
Ok folks, I am 62 years young. Been a diehard NYJ fan since, I was about 10 or 11 years old; so, say 50 years, give or take a year. Every single GD offseason the NYJ organization has run their collective mouths telling me how this player should help, or that player will be great, or the team is poised to do great things, and with the exception of 1982 (despite the AJ Duhe flood bowl),1998, 2003 (the last home playoff game the NYJ have played), 2009-2010, they've done jack squat and fell on their collective faces. Like many of you here, I too am so sick of hearing how great they think they are, only to be a national embarrassment come the regular football season. Like The Darksider just said, I wish that they would all stfu, go out and let their play do the talking by winning some football games for once - couldn't have said it better myself tbh. Just so sick of this regime and their all gas no winning crap, I just can't listen to it anymore.
You are forced to listen because the $ hungry owner wants tix sales and CS is too Second rate to shut players up. The 180 antithesis of Bellichek discipline
