Adam Schefter on X: "Blockbuster: Bills are finalizing a trade to send four-time Pro-Bowl WR Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for draft-pick compensation, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/5tIJGkve6t" / X (twitter.com)
Jeez a 2nd round pick next year that’s it. Buffalo is dumb Texans now have Stroud, RB Mixon, Diggs, Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and TE Dalton Schultz. Stacked.
Have to think they have something cooking for the draft. A move up to grab one of the top 3 WR's? Take Kincaid in your fantasy as the offense will revolve around him.
Spotrac on X: "The #Bills get off of $19M cash in 2024, and in acquiring a 2025 2nd Rd pick, should have the ammo to move up & snag Stefon Diggs' replacement in this year's draft on a rookie contract that likely costs around $19M over 4 years." / X (twitter.com)
It’s probably the right time for the Bills to move on from Diggs even if it weakens them from a talent perspective in the short term. His production nose dived in the second half of the year and he was vocally frustrated resulting in a distraction for the team. He was probably being cut at the end of the year due to the money he’s owed and his age (31 before December).
If you knew anything about the league, you'd know that is a greater return than usual for a 31 year old receiver on a huge contract. Keenan Allen is 31 and went for a 4th Dhop was 27 when he was traded to Arizona and went for a 2 Julio Jones (a better receiver at the time) was 32 and went for a 2 and 4 Amari Cooper was 26 and went for a 5 and 6 Brandin Cooks at 28 went for a 5 and 6, when he was 25 went for a 2 Diontae Johnson at 27 went for Donte Jackson and a 6 Getting a 2nd (which will likely be a top 10 pick in the 2nd round since Minnesota will stink this year) is a better return than any of those previous trades. Hell, the Bills gave up a pick to get him that was like 15 picks higher, and that was 4 years ago when he was younger. All the receivers that were traded for anything higher than a 2nd were much younger and still in their prime, i.e. AJ Brown was 24, Marquise Brown was 24, Tyreek was 28, the only one you could kind of say was similar was Davante Adams, he was 29. Not to mention, Diggs has the attitude problem that none of those others had and production fell off a cliff the 2nd half of last year. He's also owed a ridiculous amount of money the next 3 years. The value in return is very good, so again, your post is extremely ignorant (but I guess that's normal for you).
That is accurate, your reading comprehension is just poor, again. The post says they get out of $19 mil in cash, which is not the same as a cap hit.
Again with the reading comprehension. I said the value in return is greater than usual, which is not the same as whether I like the move or not. Be better
It’s bad timing for them. So many of their team leaders heading out at once. Diggs was a lightning rod of course but not too many of their guys played with fire and passion like him. Undoubtedly McDermott and him butted heads and they made the wrong choice IMO to jettison Diggs instead of McDermott
Says the guy who's replied to my posts 3 times in the past 5 minutes. Dumb people often say things like that because they dont know how else to respond when somebody corrects them. Its ok man
Umm ok I’m not sure that’s accurate considering you jumped in and responded to my posts lol you are a bills clown on a Jets site. Talk about it with other fuck face bills fans, jump through a table, smell each others nutz and set yourself on fire. Isn’t that what you guys do? This is a Jets site
I was wondering that too. Maybe they have their 2nd, and he's assuming that's the 2 that they'll get? Sent from my genius mind.
