Is it me, or does it seem like K'andre Miller plays better when he is not paired with Jacob Trouba? This is especially strange considering that Trouba is having his best season as a Ranger.
Miller is strange all around. That goal against the Bruins where he was all over the guy and still let him sit on top of Jonathan Quick for half an hour was pretty atrocious. One of the national broadcasts recently had a commenter who was saying something about how unique he is in that he's big but not physical and tries to make up for it with speed and stickwork, which often works out. And that he's always been a forward prior to the pros, there's some growing pains to be expected. I think he can be a great player, but sometimes he's really bad.
How good has Artemi Panarin been this season? He is just three points away from having the second highest total in franchise history. (I don't think he has enough time to catch Jagr's 123 points). He also has cracked the top 10 in single season goals scored with 44. Mind you, this is a franchise with a 97 year history.
Last time they played TB they were pretty wretched defensively. Seems to happen every couple of weeks.
Hoping they don’t pick tonight to go back to dressing Rempe. He’s got a big enough target on his back as it is and dressing him tonight will only solidify his goon-first status.
