This team should not be looking to trade up at all. I love Harrison Jr. but the Jets don't have enough draft capital to sacrifice.

Sit tight and take best OT or WR at 10.

Trading up for MHJR, Rome or Nabers is still my favorite move ahead of trading down.

In 2026 your offense is going to look something like this:
    - rookie qb / vet
    - breece
    - GW
    - Rome Nabers or MHJR
    - Conklin can restructure, still have a fine TE2 in Ruckert
    - avt / tippman

You’ll have pick 72 this year for OL, a 2025 1st and all your picks in 2026 (aside from a first assuming rookie Qb) to hit OL again. There’s no guarantee that a rookie T in 2025 is going be better than Carter Warren anyways.

We always complained about Darnold or Zach having no weapons. The young kid would be walking into a rock solid offensive environment in 2026.

No one talks shit about the falcons trade up for Julio because he was great. No one even remembers what they gave up. It didn’t matter.

But you have to give up some of those picks to move up

There’s no 2nd this year, so it’s gonna have to be a 1st in 2025 to move up. Brutal

    You're right, that's my mistake.

In the the trade up for MHJR to 5 it only cost us a 2025 2nd. I don't really think that's possible or realistic. However, if Rome is there at 8, which I think is a very high possibility. There is only a 100 point difference between 8 and 10 where Atlanta is. Prob give them the higher 4th this year and maybe something later to make up the 30 points remaining.

Even if it cost us our 2025 2nd to move up even higher, you still have all the picks I mentioned.

    Pick 72
    2025 1st, 3rd - 7th
    2026 everything

I just think it’s difficult for teams to justify moving down if they don’t pick up something this year.

I also think there will be hot competition with other teams trying to move up for Harrison and QBs as well

It seems unlikely to me that it would only take a 2nd next year, despite what the metrics say. but 10 to 8 def seems doable

The Chargers could be a team that would accept something later just because it seems like they are in a true rebuild even though they have the QB in place. Harbaugh made some comments the other day about how important OL is and how they don't rely on anyone else on the field and how the game flows through them. I could absolutely see them trade back down and get someone like Fuaga or Latham at RT while accumulating more picks next year. Outside of that, I agree 100%. Most teams want same year capital.
