https://thedraftnetwork.com/2024/03/10/2024-nfl-draft-rankings-tdn100-march There are a number of surprises here. It's dated March 10, so is more current than many of the positional rankings and mock drafts I've seen. They have Fashanu as the 4th best player in the draft ahead of Bowers. They have Xavier Leggette as the 15th best player, Kingsley Suamataia as the 20th best player, Brian Thomas down at #40, just after Roman Wilson. It also has both Laitu Latu and Jared Verse ranked 2-3 spots higher than Dallas Turner. In terms of the Jets' picks it has Fuaga as the 10th best prospect and CB DJ James as the 7nd best prospect. Of course the draft never falls that way, but if it is correct about the players gone before pick #10 and #72, then at #10 offensive players we could take (with a possible trade down of a few spots) are Fuaga, Keon Coleman (#13), Xavier Leggette (#15), Fautanu (#16), Jackson Powers-Johnson (#18) and Kingsley Suamataia (#20). At #72 the offensive players still available would be Malachi Corley (#74), Christian Haynes (#75), Blake Fisher (#77), Cooper Beebe (#78), Braelon Allen (#79), and Roger Rosengarten at #81. In this draft we could take Fuaga at #10 and Malachi Corley at #72, and thus address 2 of our biggest needs, but no LT, unless we either took Fautanu, traded down a little or reached and took Suamataia.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospect-rankings/ Needless to say it that CBS' rankings are pretty different. They have Rome Odunze at #10, and the offensive players following up to #20 are: Brock Bowers (#13). Taliese Fuaga (#14), Amarius Mims (#17), Brian Thomas, Jr. (#18), JJ McCarthy (#19), JC Latham (#20), and Troy Fautanu (#21). At #72 they have Edge Gabriel Murphy. The offensive players following that are: Sedric Van Pran-Granger IOL (#75), Blake Fisher OT (#76), Ainias Smith WR (#78), and Patrick Paul OT (#81). At #111 Christian Mahagony OG (#112), Kiran Amegadjie OT (#116), Zak Zinter OG (#117), Bucky Irving RB (#118), and Roger Rosengarten OT (#121). At #134 Ray Davis RB (#138) and Hunter Nourzad (#139). Thank heavens that CBS is usually way off the mark. The best players at our picks would be Odunze WR, Sedric Van Pran-Granger IOL, Kiran Amegadjie OT (to avoid taking two IOL which we don't need), and Ray Davis RB.
Yeah, evidently I hit the Game Thread Forum by mistake rather than the Draft forum. Brook! kindly moved it to the Draft Forum where it belongs.
