The good thing is that this is probably the first time where playoffs or bust has entered Woody’s feeble thoughts.

So we could get a pretty cool exciting reset of GM, staff, roster, etc. if this implodes. If it doesn’t, we could have a pretty fun season with guys on the ten+ year pension plan.

My hope would be Bakhtiari & Smith can get you to 17 games into the playoffs between the two

The Jets WR room is currently looking like one of the leagues worse. You can't risk taking a developmental WR who most likely will be going into the season as the third receiver.

I wouldn't be disappointed if they drafted an OT at #10, but with signing of Smith, I lean WR

Like i said yesterday, scoring Tyron puts this down as a successful offseason.

Regardless what the live-in-a-bubble logic wants to cry about WR need Joe D did good work overall last few days. If you guys wanted to lean into the best possible GFIN stance this was the move that had to happen.

I don't think many people think JD doesn't make moves that appear good on paper. They just haven't really panned out a lot, and almost all the time on the O line

Tyron is injury prone but he's actually a very good tackle when healthy. JD's usual signings are mediocre guys for slightly better than mediocre value.

My favorite part of this is that it allows us to draft one of Odunze, Nabers, or Bowers in the draft. I like all 3 better than Fuaga. Bowers is semi-dependent upon us using him creatively, which I have very little faith in, so that's concerning. But he's an incredible player otherwise.

On an aside, if we draft Bowers how does that work with Ruckert, Conklin, Yeboah and Kuntz? Also, any good RB’s coming out that might be in rd3 that we can pair with breece?

Ruckert is a blocking tight end. Concklin can play on the line and bowers can play off the line as a wr. They jets would run a lot of 12 personal a lot. They def want too

I would not count the other two as contributors

Yeboah is useless. Kuntz may never see the field on a Sunday. I’m not saying Bowers is the right pick for us necessarily, but if that’s the way you wanna go, then instantly Bowers is your TE1, Conklin 2 and Ruckert is your 3. If Kuntz shows anything, stick hom on the PS again and have him replace Conklin next year

Jadeveon Clowney visiting next week. He visited Carolina last week so he is probably shaking down crappy teams for a final payday.

I wouldn’t call it tight end 1 or tight end 2. Conklin and bowers are two different tight ends

it would mean goodby to Yeboah and Kuntz, and Ruckert and Conklin battle for TE2

Not sure I’d go TE at 10, but Bowers, Conklin and Ruckert is a pretty good TE trio. Still, I’d rather go WR than TE…I can live with Conklin, who I think is a bit underrated and will look much better with AR throwing to him…and Ruckert and then Yeboah if it means a huge upgrade to WR where we need help at that position group way more desperately.
