It's only "off record" if he declares that at the time. When you say something out loud in a public place it is most certainly on the record. He chose to decline comment rather than deny it happened; I see that pretty close to doubling down.
To make this even more peak Jets, we could potentially watch him leave to pursue a career in politics and then be stuck with Saleh, Douglas, and Hackett because Rodgers wanted them here. I'm already tired of the 2024 season already.
