He likely won't want to come here period. Too much of an outside interest market. Yet we are still checking in on the Llyod Christmas meme level chance of that being wrong. Bro, just sign with KC already so I can stop regularly checking.
Another name I haven't heard mentioned is Charles Leno Jr, who was an above average LT for Washington that was released recently. I think he's coming off a season-ending injury so he checks that important JD box. Though looks like he's been pretty healthy otherwise. Not sure where he stands heading into training camp, but if healthy he'd be another one to consider
But they could get a great WR prospect at 10. And that's becoming more realistic IMO because many of the OTs that could be there at 10 have played exclusively on the right side. Unless Alt or Fashanu are there, the rest are likely RTs. And with Moses entrenched as a starter at RT, it's hard to see them drafting Taliese Fuaga now. I wonder if they'll target an LT in free agency and then go WR at 10. In lieu of the Moses trade, this makes a lot of sense. If they don't sign an LT, they could end up with Carter Warren or a rookie with no experience at LT in 2024
Moses doesn't guarantee anything. If he and Carter Warren are your tackles, you're screwed. Tackle at 10 is still the play, and if it' Fauga...better learn to play LT with the millions you're making.
The Zuerlein and Kinlaw contracts recorded so it shows we have 12 million left. Moses will cost another 7, so that takes us down to 5 (we may be pushing 5 million of Moses' salary into next year? That would leave us at 10 million). Without knowing the pay structure of Taylor, Simpson, or Oliver, I'd say we're close to done in FA without more restructuring. Probably one more big signing or a few project signings. We have draft picks and a punter to still sign.
Nothing. His money is guaranteed. This is why its probably best to keep him as QB3, rather than sign away more of our future cap and pay 4 QBs. We might not like it, but were stuck with him. Its the smartest thing to do. EDIT It might not be the smartest thing since both out HC and our owner have had harsh words about Zach. We might just be launching 11 million dollars into the void.
No it's not the smartest thing to do. Eat the money and cut him loose. He has to report to that building every day and there is a bad working relationship
Bro, free agency just started and 2-3 top tackles are still out there. So tired of this silly narrative that Joe Douglas isn't trying and people acting like this is the final product. Just stop.
All for Mike Williams, if possible. Feels like the situation where cut player ends up going to more successful division rival for chance to win, in this case Chiefs.
Williams is the exact type of WR this team needs. Perfect complement to GW and if we're using him as a WR more, Breece Hall. The problem is JD hates spending money and he's gonna cost money. I understand the injury concerns but he's the best available option by far. We have a 1-2 year window that is barely even open. Go get him.
Williams was a one trick pony in the couple good seasons he had and secured the bag. All he did was catch bombs. He’ll be 30 next year off a major injury. Not opposed to adding him but it needs to be a short term deal.
