The only prayer of keeping it viable is to address comments to the actions and personalities of Rodgers and Kennedy, not their ancestry or, especially, the two major candidates for November. Opinions and judgements about them are totally unnecessary and unproductive - we've heard them all, ad nauseum.

This would be the most Jets thing ever. If it happens, they really should just close up shop because I can't imagine that they'd find a way to top this.

Even back when I said many months ago that the play Rodgers got injured on would be his last snap as a Jet, and I still think there's a chance that it's still a possibility, I couldn't have even imagined that it could have come about this way.

    Only the Jets.

I wonder how many of these free agents we've signed are going to want out of their contracts if/when Rodgers retires to pursue this.

In the midst of the disaster of last year, who could have possibly imagined that 2024 would see us having Tyrod Taylor was QB1 with Zach Wilson backing him up.

Can't even call this Same Old Jets. :D This would be something else entirely, yet still entirely on brand for this franchise.

It was one of the longest years ever after only lasting 4 plays and 79 seconds. There's some Isaac Newton in there somewhere.

I mean, there’s no way this’ll actually happen, correct? And I guess to be fair to our lord and savior, the article only said RFK is considering him, not that he’s considering accepting. Do I sound naive in thinking that in a day or so he’ll shoot this shoot this down?

I guess the one bright side is that I imagine RFK (as will Trump) will have to declare a VP with the next 6 weeks or so? So a conclusion will be coming soon.

I believe the Jets will be completely screwed against the cap if he retires for any reason

if the reason is this silly political campaign? words can’t describe how badly he will have railroaded our favorite team

Writing this, right now, will be my only acknowledgement that this topic even exists.

Relax. This is just entertainment and it's funny. Rodgers is obviously not running for VP under RFK, Jr. or anybody else. Laugh a little.

Some of us are way too jaded and hardened for that. I really have to dig on some days to find anything humorous about this team. Kind of like this:

He needs to come out ASAP and say it then. Free agents will never sign here with that circus hanging over us.

Aaron Rodgers will do anything to create buzz around himself. I can't see RFK's Cabinet being any worse that the Jets FO, but it's always a possibility with Rodger's on board. There'll be a Minister of Recreation for sure. Who needs free lunch, especially children with food insecurity. What they need is free weed and micro-dosing!

It's obvious. He doesn't need to say anything.

Forgive me for not finding the humor and entertainment value in a world renowned Dipshit making our circus of a franchise even more of a circus. As stated above you should probably come out and say something if this is all for laughs and ha ha. For a guy who wants the franchise to tune out the bullshit he’s inviting it so again, maybe it’s just not my type of humor.

    Here's the funny thing:

The Kennedy family has repudiated RFK Jr.'s candidacy, and Rodgers is alienated from his own family.

In other words, even RFK Jr.'s and Rodgers' own families wouldn't vote for them.
