https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/12/us/politics/rfk-jr-aaron-rodgers-jesse-ventura.html I’m old enough to remember when Aaron Rodgers said the bullshit has to go away if we want to win. So what does he do? Invite the biggest form of bullshit into the building: politics, and horrendously bad ones at that. Not to mention… how do you run for VP and play football? It’s almost like all of us who were worried about the amount of bullshit he brings along had a reason to be worried about it. i’m ready for the 2025 reset with a new staff, new GM and rookie quarterback.
Is it even possible to play NFL QB and failed vice presidential candidate at the same time woody Johnson running the finances for a failed campaign is one thing, he doesn’t have to play every Sunday what a mess this team is
This is not something we have to worry about. Its worse. Hes gonna be a shiny toy for a complete moron who is wasting everyone’s time galavanting around as a presidential candidate while spewing some of the dumbest shit you’ve ever heard. He definitely won’t win so Rodgers will either bail on us for nothing or half ass a season, which is far worse.
Oh I didn't think he actually had a chance of becoming VP, this is obviously just a vanity project for RFK. I'm trying to keep an open mind on Rodgers, but he makes it difficult sometimes. One day he's saying he's going to play three more years, the next we hear he is receptive to running for VP. Isn't this something you do after you retire?
This guy is exhausting. After one year I feel like he’s been a Jet for 10. I have a new appreciation for what Packers fans went through
I mean good luck trying to keep a conversation about fuckin RFK Jr serious. Thank the guy that plenty of us were worried about.
Sure. Can it be done without infusing political opinions into the discussion? Because it’s been done almost instantaneously.
Speaking just for myself, have zero fucks to give about Arod's politics or the fact that he's pretty much a certifiable asshole. Win some fucking games and he can pretend to be an astronaut for all I care.
It's funny how talented college football players in the military have to shunt aside or completely shelve a potential NFL career during and because of their enlistment to serve our country, but an entitled NFL d-bag will technically, in theory, or worse, in practice, have power over the military in the event he becomes President by succession. The military is broken in many ways that I won't get into, but the uncanniness of this is wild. Of course none of that first paragraph would ever happen, but the thought of it was not lost on me. The bloated ego of this guy, I just wish I could pretend this debacle was never visited upon us. Just please kick this guy in his ass. Edit: Autocorrect
I can see it now. Rodgers will campaign during the week and fly in for games on Sunday. He'll get his practice reps through mental telepathy. The sad thing is that Woody, Douglas and Saleh would probably be just fine with that. Maybe Woody will tell us that mental telepathy is were football is going. Does anyone still think that Rodgers is this franchise's savior? Lest there be any doubt. Rodgers has no allegiance to the Jets. His only loyalty is to himself.
Damn, I had a missed call today from the Jets… perhaps they were going to sell me some campaign swag! In the words of Joe B, what a freakin disgrace!!!
VP = Politics, but no one is getting into their political views and frothing at the mouth. I don't see the harm unless it goes that way.
