I'm fine with a Bakhtiari addition as long as they add 2 OTs on top of him. Under no circumstances can we go into this season with him penciled in as a starter at either OT spot. If he wins the job in TC and stays healthy, fantastic, but the guy hasn't played a full season since 2019.
Christian Wilkins to the Raiders on a 4 year, 110M (84.75M guaranteed) deal. Love that, weakens the Dolphins but also makes Quinnen's deal last year look like the ultimate steal. For reference, Q signed a 4 year, 96M (66M guaranteed) deal last July.
Gabe Davis off the board (going to Jacksonville on a 3 year deal). Fine with this, depending on the $ value (details haven't been given yet). EDIT: Details are 3 years, 39M with incentives that could get it up to 50M. (Thanks @GREG!, Schefty reporting only 11M guaranteed) Still fine with, if I'm paying 13-14M-ish for a WR, would rather go the Sutton route than Davis.
Jonathan Greenard might have just set Huff's market. Going to Minnesota on a 4 year, 76M deal (42M gtd). Call me crazy but I would be fine with giving Huff this type of contract. Maybe even shorten in by 1 year. (3 years, 55-60M)
Dianna Russini on X: "Gabe Davis agreed with the Jaguars to a 3 year deal for $39 million with incentives that could get him to $50 million, per sources." / X (twitter.com)
Greg the Leg's Deal per Rosenblatt: "Greg Zuerlein's deal with the #Jets, per source: Two years, $8.4 million $4.2 million guaranteed $2.89 million signing bonus $200,000 in per game roster bonuses ($100K each year) $2.755M cap hit in 2024 $5.645M cap hit in 2025"
I know he’s not supposedly spending a ton, but has anyone seen any report whatsoever today about us even having an interest of any level, In anyone?
Exactly, which is why they shouldn't give him a Duane Brown type contract IMO. (2 year/20M) I'm fine with giving him a low base salary (3-5M?) and then add some incentives around playing games.
I'm a little concerned because Rodgers is talking big about playing 4 more years that we'll give Bhaktiari a 4 year deal. Hope I'm wrong.
Only thing I've seen today was from uStadium saying that both the Jets and Giants are active in the IOL market. And that we're interested in Onwenu. That's about it...so we'll see if JD makes any moves today or waits for the next tier.
If Gabe Davis is getting $13m a year then we're either striking out on a WR or overpaying badly for one.
Not trying to single you out on this, just using your post to ask everyone... A 4th for Sutton doesn't sound too bad now, does it?
seriously, the guy had 1 good playoff game 3 yrs ago… You have to think Lazard is at least a serviceable WR3 with Arod. We Have a legit WR1. i think we need to develop one of our own kids or draft a cheap option. and dont forget Davante…
I'd be shocked if we went for Onwenu. Not because he wouldn't be a good addition, but I'd expect a huge contract.
Jonah Jackson to the Rams, 3 years, 51M (34 gtd). Woof, I liked Jackson for the Jets but didn't think he'd get that big of a bag....IOL market starting to heat up though, let's see if JD does something.
Agreed. Feels like Onwenu gets 70-75M+ (probably still like 40M gtd) and at that price, we're propbably out.
