Going after Tiger Sharks in a 15ft boat is brave.. Foolhardy but brave. Always try to be in a boat bigger than the fish you're fighting..:D

The only shark fishing I like to do is light tackle fishing for Blacktips, and maybe one day a mako....They go airborn/ nuts, the rest are pretty boring for the most part. They're just dumb eating machines.
If he's in NC, there's ALOT of cooler fish to catch, not too far offshore..... not to mention good to eat :)

Speaking of which, my (much) younger fishing buddy, who got a job as 1st mate for a super loaded family with several big/dope fishing boats just came back from the bahamas yesterday.... brought me back some wahoo and lobster tails :):)

My deep drop rod sold today on EBay. They got me for $50 posting and selling fee but in the end, I did get some money out of it. I really don't like selling on EBay for that reason.

$360. I would have sold it on FB Marketplace but too many scammers.

EBay is ok for certain items. There are things I would not sell on EBay mainly because they try to get you to take the auction option where the seller always loses.

Thinking about having a spring sale. Got a few items I could get some decent cash for. I'm all set for Deep Dropping. Pulley Ridge, Hudson Canyon, anything up to about 2000ft I can handle now. Not doing crowded head boats this year. MAYBE one or two inshore trips but I don't see more than that. I am firmly in the offshore deep drop club now.

I'm thinking about letting my Shimano Twin Power 6000 go for a really good price.

Nice! Now you see why I'm fishing Pulley Ridge in Sept. Keep this up and you'll get hooked on offshore fishing!!

No, queens look alot different (and are in deeper water... and we don't get them up here anyway)

This is a Mutton Snapper, and a stud. 30"+ at the fork... prob 20+lbs

They're all cousins of our Porgys from the looks of it. Hopefully I'll come across a few when I get there this fall.
