Yep, between this report and the ones that came out over the past couple of days, this is not even funny anymore.

The entire FO and coaching staff should be turned over now. Before the offseason.

Bare minimum, Hackett should be fired, and a new QB drafted to learn behind Rodgers in a real offense that can continue post Rodgers.
    Bare minimum.

This is why Woody needs to blow all of this shitpile up and start over from the top down. They are terrified of angering Rodgers to the point that they sidelined Hackett instead of firing him. How in the world is a "offense by committee" supposed to function? Who has the last word? Rodgers?? Game on the line, win / lose with the next decision.. who makes the call????? This year will be yet another shit show on offense. GW, Breece, all of those kids need to finish their rookie deals and get the fck off the NFL's Titanic ASAP.

This ain’t on Woody, the Head Coach makes the decision on his staff. Saleh should step up and fire him

When the only person within the entire organization who's had any objective success at all is the practically retired mercenary you outbid yourself to hire you pretty much have to do what he wants. What other choice do you have?

That would require a set of Elephant sized balls to do. Saleh probably isn't packin like that where it concerns Rodgers.

Take a deep breath, guys, and don't get your hopes up. Nothing in the JetPress article shows that anything will change with respect to Hackett.

The JetPress article relies on one sentence in the recent Rosenblatt/Russini bombshell in the Athletic ("...Saleh has explored adding to the offensive staff and creating a more collaborative play-calling process that would reduce Hackett’s role...")

It doesn't say that Saleh has decided to demote Hackett or reduce his role. It just hints that maybe Saleh has thought about it. I'm sure Saleh has thought about a lot of things, but thinking about a change doesn't mean a change will occur.

In short, nothing in either article demonstrates that Saleh has decided to reduce or change Hackett's role. Nothing suggests that Saleh has formulated any concrete plan to change things up. Maybe Saleh will do something, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think both pieces (mainly the Athletic one)
are really just a montage of the season with some dramatizations in them. It’s nothing new or earth shattering really.

The Jets coaching staff was pretty messy and the building was equally as messy when the messiah got hurt. It’s not all that dissimilar from when we drafted Darnold and the entire building thought he’d just be able to cover up every hole on the field and off.

And what if Rodgers goes down again, a very real possibility? Then who'll be calling the shots?

"____________by Committee" is the hallmark of a leadership vacuum. And guess what? We have a gaping, sucking vacuum that any black hole would envy. If Woody had any balls - let alone football intelligence - he'd clean house right now, but he doesn't. The irony is that if he thinks he's avoiding criticism because he won't make a hard decision, he's wrong, he's going to get even MORE criticism for failing to run this team as it should be.

Sell it now Woody, and take your billions and spend it enjoying the rest of your chicken shit life.

You know it's a bad day in Hell when Jeremy Bates looks better than Nathaniel Hackett.

The Jets will probably set a record for most delay of game penalties in the history of football with a committee of idiots trying to decide what play to send in.

I'm kinda not buying it. He's still there.

It comes off as a PR stunt to appease the fan base somewhat.

If they're serious about it comes off as dysfunctional right off the bat.

    Good point.
And the answer seems to be “let’s add more to the committee”, rather than firing the more useless members.

Very hard to game plan, make adjustments, make critical decisions and play calls quickly with a committee.

As we all well know, sucking is the preeminent qualification to work for the New York Jets.

I'd trust those three to run the team over the current regime.
