Aaron Rodgers is meditating in a pentacle of healing crystals while listening to audo of dolphin farts as he aligns his supernatural powers of recruitment to fix this.
Lol. Joe Douglas the OL guru failed to form a decent line in his 4 years. Maybe time to rely on Rodgers to find his protectors. Only half kidding. My spirits are down as hell even before the season. I just want to fast forward to 2025 off season to see who we will hire for GM and HC.
Hmm, the Titans are worse than us?!? Well let's rectify that by poaching a bunch of Titans offensive coaches, we will show them who sucks most!
It's magical. It hurts my head If I'm honest. Literally. Physically, my head hurts. It hurts because I can't fathom how these well-paid individuals, "brilliant football minds", are this blind, this dumb, and this incompetent. Truly, It makes my head hurt In ways that I don't think a singular piece of "entertainment" has ever done before. The actual thought of this CS and FO thinking that they are going to be this amazing team. The fact that they show this very belief to the fans through committed idiocy. This asinine strategy they are showing us fans Is to add even more shitty coaches from even worse offensive teams. Teams that somehow surpassed our record-breaking offensive showcase, that was, the 2023 NFL season. A season of epic failures and trends. The wrong side of the history book. Yet, to my amazement, not only do we keep the clown coach that was/Is still employed as the OL coach for the worst fucking OL I've ever watched. They somehow double down by pursuing and hiring even worse coaches, from teams (through some magical fuck of the cosmos), that somehow found a way to be even worse than our offense. Almost impossible, yet, here we are. The lack of common sense, Is melting my brain. Right now. -actually, that might be the drugs Still. What the fuck Is going on with these clowns? How do things always seem to get worse with this team? When does the law of averages kick In? Twilight Zone Is real. Here we are. Welcome home.
Got thru 5 mins of the Marvels. I'd rather watch the Jet OLine get steamrolled while Bob Saleh stares wistfully into the mystic vapor of time.
The line was shit according to just about any rankings, including DVOA and PFF, which account for QB holding the ball too long, etc... Which is why when people bring up QB play as the main reason this season failed, I just don't see it that way. I think QB play would have been a lot better with average OL. Having Boyle of course was idiotic, but we saw both Siemian and Flacco do MUCH better in different environments within a year of being here. And I don't particularly like Siemian, but even looking at conventional stats this year his rating was 62. He never had a year in his career below 73. And this is considering he player two of three starts came against bottom 3 teams of NFL who were purposely tanking. This is also the reason why I would not give away Zach just yet for anything less than a 4th. Zach was able to get 77 rating with this jack shit of the oline. I am not sure how many other back-up QBs would have done better and how much the would cost. Giving up Zach (owed 5.5 mil for next year) for a 6th for 7th swap and signing Tanny for 7-10 mil to me is not a good idea. Unless we can get someone like Minshew or Brissett or get some real value for Zach, 5.5 mil next year for a back-up who could get 77 rating without the OLine is not the worst thing we can do. Plus we could add a 3d guy on the cheap, like Wentz.
Fuaga will fix the RT spot for the foreseeable future. I’m watching the senior bowl practices, he’s a god damn beast. I would like to see if he can play left, he looks like he can imo.
yeah…one reason for hope is that I’m seeing more and more mock drafts and it does look like there should be a good option at OT for us at 10, for whatever that’s worth
The problem is that by this point, with the way that Zach has been jerked around by Saleh and Hackett and the lack of support he got from Rodgers during the season, there's no way that he wants to be here. I'm sure that Saleh doesn't want him here, either, and quite possibly a lof of the other Jets players. I have hopes that Zach can develop and turn into a top 15 QB on another team, but I don't see that ever happening here while Saleh, Woody and JD are here. They have made too many mistakes and I'm certain that Zach doesn't trust or like them any more. He needs an offense that's tailored to his strengths and he needs a CS that knows what the hell they're doing and he'll never get that here. The Jets don't deserve to get anything of value for Zach. They quite likely have ruined his career. He helped ruin it for certain, but I still put most of the blame on the Jets for how he was mishandled. This was not the right offense for him, he never should have started his rookie season, and he needed good coaching. The Jets did everything regarding Zach completely wrong/backwards. Not only for his sake, but to make those assclowns look even worse than they already do, I hope he is traded to another team wins the starting job and plays lights out the rest of his career and shows that his play was mostly not his fault, that he was never given a chance here because he was never put in the right position in which he could succeed. He was always having to overcome major obstacles here.
