I get both sides. I would say this, the lions had all the momentum. If they kick the FG the momentum continues. The only way they could have given the 49ers hope was by going for it on 4th down. Of course if they made it or if they had kicked the fg and missed it's a different conversation but it obviously looks bad in retrospect.
Well, the Lions' ride was nice while it lasted. Looking more and more like another shitty Super Bowl with no rooting interest at all available to me.
