Salah has to be man enough to quit. He is unqualified to coach in the NFL. The players have tuned him out and you just can't come back with that hovering over your team. Tomlin won't come here. The Jets are toxic and a hard sell to any coach, especially a successful coach like Tomlin
Just like Saleh makes Gase look better. And Gase appeared to have a substance abuse problem. The next guy will be a HUMMDINGER BABY.
You can make that case for this season, though the Jets were worse than their record if you go back and watch what happened in each game. But in general, the Jets are a dumpster fire. Longest playoff drought in all four major US professional sports.
Granted it would take alot to swallow, but if you want a Jet Super Bowl, why wouldnt you pursue Belichick now? Paired with Rodgers and this D the Jets would be an instant favorite.
You sure are missing the boat aren't you? 7 wins... SEVEN WINS. This is what this tool of a franchise delivered after everyone, and their mother's duck, said SB or bust. I don't care if Rodgers was the second coming of his year 5 self this team wasn't winning shit. The entire damn organization LIED to us, the media...hell, to the whole world. The lot of us bought it hook, line and sinker when, at the very least, the fans who have had to deal with this rot suck franchise for however long you've been following them, should have known better. Then for this dickhead owner, after our asses get bolted to our heads, to tell the fan base that he's going to do a "wash, rinse, repeat" in 2024. Yeah, you can kiss my fuzzy ass with that noise. YOU may enjoy being mediocre after we were told it was SB or bust but I won't have it. NONE of it.
Repeat after me... Belichick nor Pete Carroll are coming to the Jets...EVER. Say it over and over... NEVER going to happen.
Used to think that way but I don’t anymore. Belichick clearly just wants the wins record. He will coach anywhere
Mezzavo shares my anger and disgust 20 times over But I can dream a HOF gets on the payroll..right? That money woul be worth Gase Salah and Rex salaries combined But we know that’s dust in the wind event that just isn’t happening so fast
Let that pathetic fuck beg for a job like the goddamn homeless street urchin he’s been trying to look like for the last twenty years. Just when it looks like he’s burned all his bridges and Kraft has his worthless ass blackballed if the Jets throw him a lifeline now I will never root for them again. You’ve been warned as JoeJet used to say.
Are you arguing that you think 2024 will be awful , because of what you saw in 23? Or that woody is punting 24 because he kept Rodgers and the staff? Because the latter, is what the person you replied to called ridiculous…. And it is.
From what I read and hear Belichick wants to go to a "small market" team. That definitely ain't NY. Not surprised...a whole lot of people are about to doubly find out that Bill Belichick isn't HALF the head coach everyone thinks he is. Now, he may be a fantastic defensive coordinator but, as a head guy, without Tom Brady he's darn near as bad as any other mediocre coach out there. Bill Belichick is 70 - 93 without Tom Brady. That puts him almost in the same hemisphere as Robert Saleh. Now who in the fuck wants that guy running the Jets? Damn good reason to be hunting small market teams. At that rate it'll take him a full 2 seasons to get the record he should not have. Bill Belichick couldn't carry Don Shula's jock.
He was a fantastic defensive coordinator when he was coaching Lawrence Taylor. There’s a simple reason why his coaching progeny universally flame out all over the place. He’s not that good. He’s been lucky enough to be the coach when transcendent talent came through the door. Nothing more.
When my daughter was in diapers I invented a new word for shit-diaper. I would say, even in public, “did you make a belichick?” feel free to use that
HOLY SNAP, hadn't thought of that! Food for thought. Once Vrabel sings the Jets will have blown a prime opportunity to land a HC with actual proven head coaching experience vs. all these 1st timers. Just SMH...
However you argue whichever side of Belichick's degree of greatness I don't think there is any question that the last few years have really damaged him. At least as far as teams wanting to hire him right this second. Just three or four years ago if he was available 2/3 of the league would have just immediately launched whatever they had and rolled out the red carpet after handing him a roll of blank checks.
