where i got it from is from his height he is 6'6" manning is 6'5" so he is able to see over the line and look the field over and check for blitz more easily and read routes and progressions then a guy who is only 6'1" - 6'2" smart guy theres your comparision
any how alot of people said vince young was gonna be a bust and he a great rookie year so im just in search of the best next thing
Agreed...Landry is a flat-out playmaker. He has solid ball skills, hits like a truck, and has a motor that never stops. If you watch any LSU games, you'll notice that he's around the ball on EVERY play--even if he's playing deep and the tackle is at the line of scrimmage. I envy whatever team gets Landry.
Who? Outside of Quinn and Russell, there's not a single guy worthy of a first rounder at this point. Yes someone might step up, but I don't expect 2 or 3 guys to step up.
He was a top 15 lock last year until he decided to stay (and probably would've went at #8 to the Bills), and he just got even better in his senior year. I personally think he's a top 10 value, and he's as good of a ballhawk playmaker you'll find. Ed Reed clone.
I see a lot of Ed Reed in him as well. He's pretty much the perfect combination between a hard hitting saftey and a ball hawk. He has virtually no weaknesses in his game. The guy just flat out does it all. As far as Jamarcus Russel, I think he will do good in the NFL. When someone can throw the ball that far it opens up the field and puts a lot of pressure on the oppossing team's DB's. Just look at how defenses play against Chad as oppossed to someone like Brady. Against Chad the defense plays there safteys so far up that they're practically LB's. Just by having someone like Russel out there it will effect the running game as much as the passing game.
Well you can see Jamarcus Russell lighting it up for Raiders offense next year. The guy over 60 percent passer for his career and getting better ever year. Also not going to hurt him having a Steve Sarkisian for a coach. Sarkisian developed some pretty good Qbs at USC (C Palmer and matt Leinart)
Both are totally diffrent QBs. Vince Young is the way better runner but jamarcus Russell is the way better passer. I love how people see two black QBs and try to lump them together. Again the few times Ive seen him, Jamarcus Russel has alot of J Elway qualities.

The first poster saw him as a Peyton manning type player?! He could have given him good expectations but this just didn't make any sense.
I am shocked....SHOCKED....that tanknyc didn't know what the fuck he was talking about in this thread.
