I saw that too. Was pretty bummed about it because work starts right back up the next day. The 30th would’ve been perfect?
I mean it’s not like he twisted an ankle and found out he had a torn muscle dude. His leg bent the wrong way on a nationally televised game lol.
Yeah makes no sense at all. Big time bummer. Lions play the Cowboys on the 30th, but still. Big time bummer not having the day off after those games.
I actually love this.... New Years Day was always about lounging, cooking a bunch of food and watching college football all day to me.... The past few years with all the spread out watered down "bowl games" that's taken a hit imo...
Florida governor Ron DeSantis wants to take $1mil from the states budget to sue over this Florida State snub
Josh McCown's son Owen (red shirt Freshman) came off the bench to start for UTSA's first bowl win against Marshall. 35-17 final score, 22 of 31 for 251, 2TDs. https://www.ksla.com/2023/12/20/freshman-mccown-leads-utsa-35-17-frisco-bowl-win-over-marshall/
You didn’t even mention who he beat. Cole Pennington, Chad Pennington’s son. I bet Marshall live too as they were dominating the young McCown.
Yeah I didn't even realize the game was on until the final seconds and had to do a double take when I saw the name. I had no idea Chad's kid was playing.
The real story is the guy Mcown replaced. Frank Harris who won 39 out of 51 starts in seven seasons in the program. He must be in med school or something.
He's that guy in Summer School that went to the bathroom at the beginning of the semester and came out during finals and aced the test.
College football needs to do something to stop this. The guy that tore his ACL in back to back years might deserve a waiver. The Tyler Shough’s of the world who are going on their 3rd college and can’t hold a starting job at any of them need to move on with their lives. The guy has 562 attempts in five college seasons.
A requirement that they're an actual student that attends class would be a good start .... I mean if a guy can pull off passing med school, while playing football, more power to him
