Studs Morestead - the most consistent player on our team. boomed punts all day Can't really think of any more. it was a top to bottom old fashioned ass whooping. the D-line was about the only unit that played well but wouldn't really call them studs Duds Coaching staff - it all starts here. Yes the o-line was awful, but it was more then that. they legit looked confused as to who was supposed to block who most plays. always allowing free rushers. the offense was an embarrassment. this team wasn't ready for this game. we always seem to be much worse in the 1st half of games which is a bad sign O-line - they all were bad. even becton and tipp had rough games. pressure on 80% of snaps and got their QB killed. no holes in the run game. overall just piss poor Reed - had his worst game as a jet. not a big deal. everyone has one. waddle burned him pretty much at will. i'm sure he'll bounce back though. could probably list the whole team here but pointed out the worst of the worst
A couple duds Zach Wilson for "dehydration" Siemien for sucking Quinnen Williams for mocking Jaylen Waddle only for Waddle to burn the defense with a bomb the very next offensive play for Miami, dohhh
during the game yes but after the game he was put in concussion protocol. it's been known for almost 2 days now. you replied it 30 mins ago
the media was clearly wrong. (and wasn't the media, it was 1 write form 1 website who's co-workers from the same site contradicted her report) and zach hid his concussion because he wanted to be out there behind an o-line that allowed 80% pressure rate that game. really sounds like someone who doesn't want to play huh?
This game was rough... and it exposed everything wrong with the present day Jets. I'd love to blame the offense for everything... but even our vaunted D played sub-par. But really... it's down to coaching and game planning on both sides of the ball. Saleh couldn't get the players motivated to put up a fight and Hackett couldn't come up with a game that would give the offense a fighting chance. How do you not design plays to get the ball to your dynamic players? Truly baffling at the pro level. We had 4 yards of offense in the first half... When Monday came & went and Woody hadn't cleaned house...I realized we were stuck with this suck for the rest of the season at least... and probably the next season as well. I don't believe they can fix this shit in one off season without making drastic changes.
The 4 yards of offense at halftime is hilarious. It's really not hard to scheme up a couple gadget plays that are highly likely to get some yardage. MLF did it often when we were otherwise in a rut. Those gadget plays aren't sustainable, but they can provide a brief spark of life. Hackett is just completely incapable of originality and adaptation. He keeps banging his head into the wall over and over and expecting a different result.
Especially hilarious when you stop and consider that a ball carrier could literally fall down forward and gain half that amount. But as bad as Hackett is, it's the OL that's a complete shit show. How so called professional could go out and play like that is disgusting.
No reason to keep him. His head isn’t into the game and he’s performing terribly. Give someone else an audition for that left tackle position the last 3 games
Okay, I know that I'm really old, but I'll tell you this: Vince Lombardi would've never let that fat ass come back out of locker room in a Jets uniform ever again.
Parcells either But it’s the pendulum We went from hardass Parcells to Groh but really after one year to players coach Herm. You know…let’s make the game fun again! Then we went to Mangini. You know…too lax under the players coach so we need some discipline again. Then we went to Rex. You know…too much discipline and let’s treat the players like men! Then Todd Bowles…I don’t really even know what the fuck he was … too bland to even remember…but too much of a players coach I guess Then Gase…back to business and not the friendly type guy Then Saleh…back to player friendly / relationship type guy Funny how it pretty much ping pongs back and forth But totally…Parcells would bench a guy just for fumbling…but for sure wouldn’t tolerate this shit…but then it was a very different time even only 25 years ago….much more a players game now
Sean Payton wouldn't put up with it. He was tearing Russell Wilson a new asshole on the sideline Sunday. Saleh is too passive and treats the players like professionals even when they don't act professional. His shtick doesn't work with players like Becton. He's too immature.
No defending Reed. He was awful. But at what point does someone on the coaching staff realize this is a bad match-up, and lines up someone different against Waddle?
Rex Ryan would take the opposing team's WR out of the game with his best corner. Saleh and Meat Head let the opposing teams take their best corner completely out of the game every week. But our fundamentals! Idiots. Can we someday get an innovator better than Gase?
Miami has a banged-up o-line they throw a ton of WR screens (Get the ball out quickly). The Jets take the opposite approach and run lon developing play action passes.
If you watch other teams they are very creative in the way they are using running backs in the passing game we have 2 good pass catching RB, albeit Breece Hall is better than Cook but they still are both good at it and the Jets aren’t creative at all with them
