If Mike Tomlin becomes available after this season, they SHOULD go after him.
Same for Jim Harbaugh, REGARDLESS, what Rogers would say.

Neither of those guys would answer the phone. We're looking at nobody prospects with no real credentials.

Probably have to give up the 1st for Tomlin, which would be fine by me.

I like how you assume those guys wouldn't laugh in our faces if their agent even took the call to begin with.

You would give up a top 10 pick for a coach??? And leave that same coach with a 40yr old QB, no 1st or 2nd round pick, and that OL?

You're fired. No longer going to consider you for the GM position. Good luck to you sir.

I think you might as well run Saleh back because the best we’re getting here is a retread with this current situation.

I don’t see any real bright young offensive mind wanting to come work here but hopefully I’m wrong.

No to Tomlin. Might as well have Saleh. The new HC needs to call plays on offense, like McDaniel does for Miami, Shanahan, McVay, etc...

No more standing like a putz and cheerleading from the sidelines all game.

Yeah any defensive HC is a nonstarter for me at this point. It inevitably causes issues with the offense and offense is just too important to subject it to that.

We're going to have to take a chance on a young OC. We probably won't get the top 1-2 candidates because they'll have better options than us.

If I'm allowed to drink beer on the sidelines, I'm sure I can do a "JETS-good enough-job"....

It’s particularly irritating because there are mercenary defensive coordinators that just run good defenses and go organization to organization doing so.

Jim Schwartz, Steve Wilks, Vic Fangio, Gus Bradley, etc. Wade Phillips did it for a while.

Well, we sure have done so well with top ten picks this far. You could hand this staff 3 top 5s and they will blow it. I’d rather see what a real coach can do with a second or 3rd

This is where I’m at as well. HAS to be an offensive guy. Enough of these fucking defensive guys who have no clue how to fix a fucking offense that can’t fucking score. No more of that shit. I didn’t like Herm, didn’t like Bowles, Saleh’s record is worse than those guys now. Enough.

    HAVE to go offense.

The Jets definitely have to go after an offensive coach.

Which means we're going to hire a defensive head coach the next time out. But hey, he'll have some ridiculously young, up-and-coming OC who has no idea what he's doing, but yet somehow is coaching to where football is going. It's going to be awesome. Maybe he'll do something meme-worthy at the introductory press conference for good measure.

Simple Solution that would shake this organization to its core and not cost a single draft pick...

Bring Back Rex Ryan. He would absolutely take the job.

sounds exactly like Mike McDaniel in Miami

    or Sirianni in Philly

both those guys were billed as terrible hires out of nowhere by the media and had cringeworthy press conferences. Saleh was seen as a solid, safer option and of course he's good at talking

If anyone still believes in this stiff of a HC then read the following. This Fen guy is delusional:

"Obviously in my heart, I feel like we built a championship roster," Saleh said about a Jets team that lost Rodgers to a torn Achilles four offensive snaps into the regular-season opener on Sept. 11. "But at the end of the day we still gotta find ways to win with guys that are on the football field and we’ve gotta be better as coaches, we’ve gotta be better as players."

Becton and Tomlinson have combined to allow 40% of the offensive line’s sacks (18 of 45) and 37% of its pressures (83 of 225). OL 45 sacks this season and 46 is the record... Yes coach, your doing a good job....

I know Tomlin isn’t an Offensive guy but would be a damn good choice for HC I wouldn’t give up a pick tho. We might not even be able to get him or Jim without opening up the checkbook much larger. Just wish this guy Woody would go away…same thing I tell my other woody in the mornings when I get up
