Honestly.. I just don't know how you can keep this staff at this point. Regardless of the ruined plans with Rodgers. Your average NYJ fan could tell you It ultimately wouldn't have mattered with this OL, even with a healthy Rodgers. Sure we probably win an extra game or two along the way, but this team Is dog shit. Worst offense I remember seeing, honestly. We almost never have a lead throughout any game. The only way we win Is by overcoming some stupid ass deficit to begin with and It's usually only possible because the other team throws the game.

I allowed myself to find hope In this team when they traded for Rodgers. Even though I was initially against It. I knew better.

I just don't think these owners will ever get the right people In that building. I just don't. Feels absolutely hopeless as a fan at this point. I don't think I've ever felt this down about watching football In my life. It's becoming a chore, If It doesn't change soon, I might just have to stop watching football. This Is nonsense.

In barely related news, Derek Carr threw for three touchdowns against the Giants; no interceptions, no fumbles. No draft picks.

Did you watch the game? Play action pass and a guy is standing right in his face as he turns around lol. Cmon…Any QB is getting destroyed in those circumstances. They stopped running a ton of PA/under center once Siemian was in.

Stop, Carr is trash too…most their fan base has been wanting Jameis to play for most of the year. A broken clock is right twice a day.

I knew they would. I've seen this sh*t show many times before. Mostly with expansion teams, but hey isn't this an expansion team? After all, when you release O-Linemen that were here when you arrived, and they go on to start for other clubs. That tells me that St. Joe is not good at evaluating talent or he deliberately handicapped the team. Neither option is good. For all the "but all the injuries" fandom, learn something about what happens on the field. Injuries are an everyday part of the job, as a football player. Lack of planning for injuries is what this is about. And there has been too much of that.

The D has incredible players that make plays. There’s absolutely no scheme on our D at all, per Saleh’s own words a monkey can run it.

Agreed, last time I felt confident about a coaching hire was Parcells. And Leon fixed his hiring error (Rich Kotite) in two years. This is the most pathetic this franchise has ever been. For fun I looked up how many points that 1996 team scored, if this years NY Jets score 280 points for the season they will best that team (1996). The current point total for the 2023 team is 201. And this years team has an extra game to work with. This team will surpass that losers' flu team in futility.

and there are posters who will still swear up and down that Carr sucks, didn't wanna come to NY, all that rationale behind the Rodgers fiasco.

BTW, do you think your hero might grace us by suiting up next week? He's been hyping up his rehab so now would be a great time to showcase just how far along he is. I mean, if his legacy is to be the Last Son of Krypton and all that. Its the least he could do to give this fanbase some hope for next year.

Eh it probably would’ve worked out better for the franchise but Carr has not been very good this year at all.

I try to be calm and rational and not jump on the fire everybody bandwagon but after being humiliated like this against our most hated rivals and the collapse the last two years it is time to clean house. We will now be counting on a 40 + year old QB to save the Jets? This franchise is screwed it is time to start over as JD and Saleh will be making very short-term decisions to try to save their jobs.

2 Starting tackles at a minimum on the o-line. Our guards suck as well so maybe an entire new o-line. We need at least a number 2 receiver. After we trade Zach we will need a capable back-up QB when AR gets hurt. We need a safety after Whitehead bails. We do not have a number 2 pick. Who is going to want to come here after watching this debacle?

The first thing that has to happen is that Saleh and the rest of the CS - except maybe Ulbrich - needs to be fired TODAY. Fuck waiting until the end of the season What more does Woody need to see? IDK about Douglas. My heart says to fire him too - god knows he deserves it - but I have no idea who Woody would hire, and I don't really trust him to get anyone better. For that reason, I'm inclined to stick with Douglas a little longer. But if there were a good upgrade, I'd be happy to let him go too. I wonder if Andy Reid would like to try being a GM?

After firing Saleh TODAY, they need to move heaven and earth to find the best offensive minded HC they can. Whatever it takes. And then begin planning on how to construct a 21st century NFL offense and execute that plan, even it means giving up some assets on the "D" side - the defense is NOT going to get them to the playoffs, let alone win a SB, without a strong 21st century offense. Quit putting the cart before the horse and build the damn offense!

The only "silver lining" in yesterday's debacle is that there should be no more illusions about how good this team is or could be. They suck. And the other "good" thing is they can now hope to "win" the highest pick possible. It's hard to remember during a rain storm that the water is brings is needed for anything to grow. After 13 years of "rain" we ought to have some really fertile soil now.

That’s a very low bar to clear. And again they would rather have Jameis in there, than Carr.

This fanbase doesn’t deserve Aaron to comeback this year lol.

He shouldn’t risk it neither especially behind this OL. If he’s doing it for himself then sure but don’t do the fan base favors. Half is already upset with Aaron as is, the rest doesn’t care to rescue this coaching staff, so why risk it?

Fine.. then maybe Kal EL should just go back to rehabbing his body and keep his mouth shut about coming back. A lot of us fans are just done with the Rodgersmania/drama we get weekly. What's the point of his being on the sidelines? If he's helping Hackett, the results scream that Rodgers takes his ass back to Cali and stays there until TC opens next year.

And a lot us would rather have Carr than Boyle, Rypien, Semien, and frankly Zach.
