Wear bags over our heads at the game. If it’s a national one, even more. Fly banners, use billboards, and every chance you get call out Woody and the Jets for the losers they are. Enough with this insanity.
We are screwed and making him richer. Can a whole fan base start a mutiny and a parade down Broadway to burn season ticket commitments? This is an insult to a good fan base.
There’s not a network left that would put this team on National TV, right? Not willingly anyway…lol Billboards worked great…for a coach. Unfortunately, this guy wipes his ass with thousand dollar bills. NOTHING along those lines gets the team sold. Not when NFL franchises print money. No, you would have to have a mass declination of season tickets as well as PSL’s thrown in the trash to make a difference. Unfortunately, there’d be losers lined up to replace the ones that had enough and moved on. $$$ is all that matters and, as long as it flows, no one that can make a decision gives a shit.
If the Jets draft a QB, they might as well put him on IR as soon as he hugs the Commissioner. It may be the most important position in sports, but they can't do squat for you from the concussion tent.
I'm ready to discuss options off-line. The poster formerly known as broomulack - was time for a change.
Gives me a great idea for a movie. A recently retired disgruntled Jets fan kidnaps the team owner and persuades him to change his losing ways by forcing him to watch SuperBowl lll over & over on a 4K big screen... but fed by an old grainy VHS tape. Still working on the ending...
It seems the Rodgers trade and all the ensuing publicity the Jets were afforded this offseason (Hard Knocks, Hall of Fame inductions included) were part of one elaborate scam to make this Jets team appear like something they were not even close to becoming. Sean Payton told everyone in clear terms how this "winning the offseason" bullshit works, but nobody listened and instead, decided to shoot the messenger. Let's face it, this is a business which makes it riches from exploiting, deceiving and grifting the lowest common denominator. These same marketing tactics still work like a charm for the NFL, so no need to change them. The league's major problem in the near future is the older loyal fans dying out and not enough newer Gen Z fans having any remote interest in a sport, which is no longer enjoyable, nor watchable in many cases.
Have to fire Douglas in order to actually do this and/or succeed in doing so. And then have to fire Hackett as to not waste a season for the rookie learning a shit O.
The guy making ALL the decisions the last 5 years is JD. Woody is just a hat and tie. A good organization has an owner or a top layer structure in place to challenge the GM on poor strategic decisions, maybe even preventing them. They also have the ability to hold the GM accountable and find replacements that fit the structure, rather than searching for individuals to define/create that structure. We have Woody.
How is praising, or at least excusing the crap job the management and coaching staff are doing and not demanding change going to make it all better? How has the "seldom is heard a discouraging word" philosophy working out? The owner is not going anywhere unless he wants to; until then I want him to hear every one of us who is not as complacent or satisfied with the status quo as you seem to be. A lousy plan is better than no plan at all.
You completely missed my point and I'm not complacent all. To the contrary. Nor have I accepted this shit show ever if you managed to read my posts properly. But to critique the fan base for loyalty as a reason for this disgrace and status quo is laughable at best. Not to mention the comment about the Jet fan base having the lowest IQ idiotic. Is putting the blame where the blame needs to be with ownership and leadership and doing something about it instead of talking. Complaining here at TGG about other fans loyalty will accomplish nothing. Getting rid of your season tickets or publicly denouncing this incompetence will. Everyone one here knows Woody is going nowhere, you don't need a high football IQ for that, but most of the critics do shit about it, like dumping the season tickets, signs and masks at the stadium, and publicly denouncing their incompetence, or not supporting the merchandize at all. . No, instead they point out how some of the fans are a bunch of homers. Woopy freaking do. Everyone is, starting with the crtics.
