I think they missed a big opportunity to make Idris Elba the next James Bond. Nothing against Daniel Craig.
Most of the way through season 5 of Fargo. Hadn't liked the last few but this one has been pretty good. A Murder at the End of the World when it started I thought it had some promise but meh, still ok if stuck for something to watch but not great.
The Chris Rock season threw me off of Fargo, I like him but that was a pile of disjointed crap. The previews for this season look great and Jennifer Jason Leigh is just an outstanding actor so I'm looking forward to that.
Tremendous, loyal, rabid fan of the books. Thought the first season was pretty good, although they had to fluff it up slightly in order to attract more than just Reacher fans. I forgave it. I have never, and never will, watch the Tom Cruise movie. EVER.
Okay, Monarch has fallen off a cliff and sucks ass now. It didn't start great but it had promise. I guess they figured Godzilla could save poor writing and worse directing. Even Kurt Russell seems like he's just going through the motions and he doesn't usually mail it in.
Yep.. The latest episode was boring and for the most part, felt like filler. They didn't explain much about how Godzilla was able to get from place to place on the planet and the time jumps are annoying. Should have done one time jump. I'm afraid Monarch, unless it gets a huge infusion of CGI monsters from the ethernet, it will go the same way as Foundation and Invasion as streams that dried up due to a lack of imagination.
New Reacher is pretty good. Saw the first 3 episodes and liked all of them. Made Reacher a lot more human in the process too. Now he has a crew instead of a solo act.
Sounds like it's already headed off the rails in my opinion....lol not sure if you ever read the books, but I would say that they would not translate well to a series. Perhaps a movie. The beauty of the Reacher series was its consistency in him never changing, never losing, and never staying in one place. Along with his brutality. Very few of the typical action series elements that get the general public excited.
I really like Juno Temple in it, think she was perfect for the role she has. Strange but there are a few of her scenes that remind me of Home Alone, it worked well though.
Yeah I'm underwhelmed by the new bond pick. I have no idea who he is. I thought Daniel Craig was the best so far.
Max canceled Warrior which was a pretty decent fictional action drama thing about 19th century Chinatown gangs. Netflix just picked it up. Pretty cool. Conceived by Bruce Lee. My favorite gang is the Fung Hai, originating from Mongolian barbarian stock, they are all brutal psychopaths and they turn on each other at the drop of a hat.
Gets better the further in you get. Borrowed a lot from prior movie hits I know but overall, not bad if you're killin time.
I think it's terrible, the first 40 minutes is nothing but an exposition dump with a couple of action scenes thrown in. Plus the character and creature concept work seems like an afterthought for something that is clearly ripping off Star Wars. So far I have counted 3 Uruk-Hai warriors, one guy from The Hills Have Eyes and a hippogriff from Harry Potter. It's like they recycled every prosthetic they could find. Ugh.
Not the highest quality program but I'll be watching Part II if for no other reason as to finish it. I am getting just a bit tired of superpowered women in every new movies and stream.
