S1 of 30 Coins is pretty damn good. Another horror show. Never know with the European shows now, they put out almost as much garbage as we do.
Currently watching Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. It's not bad, production value through the roof, but the pacing sucks. They constantly flash back and you can never stay rooted in a timeline for long. And the characters are just not interesting enough. This seems like a trend with Apple+ productions.
I saw Killers of the Flower Moon in theaters but I think you can watch it on Apple+. It was long but very good. Leo, DeNiro and Scorsese crush it.
Still enjoying Invasion in season 2. Story has gone a bit off the rails as some mentioned, but still a good show and still A++ production value. I must say that in general, everything I've seen on Apple TV has been high quality. Have Slow Horses queued up after @abyzmul, looks up my alley and have heard it's good from a few people.
Is that a spin off of Sicario? And I thought I was behind the times on watching movies, here is the thread on Sicario from 2015, https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/sicario-film-trailer-cartels-fbi-drama-must-watch.84411/
Slow Horses - 3 episodes into the third season and still strong as hell. Gary Oldman disappears into another role, dude is amazing.
On season 2 of Alice in Borderland. I can only watch Asian shows with the dubbing. All of the European shows look too stupid with the mismatched voices but for some reason the Asian shows feels like the goofiness fits. Really good so far though. It’s like the Japanese version of Squid game in an open world universe.
So now it's available to rent or buy on Prime but you can barely find it on Apple+ (you have to search for it) and still says coming soon. These studios need to get real, theaters are dying. Of course they didn't meet their mark.
https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/the-dark-tower-mike-flanagan-new-adaptation-amazon/ Looks like Mike Flanagan may be doing an adaptation of The Dark Tower for Amazon Prime. I read another article where Henry Thomas was making overtures for that one. He'd be a fantastic Roland.
It starts slow and has too many time jumps, but overall a good watch so far. But it's got Kurt Russell so you knew where I was going with that. The monster effects are on part with the movies and they do all kinds of weird ones.
Its ok. Start with EP 1 though. GTW, the Godzilla -1 movie was pretty good. Saw it today. Good character development and although you had to read subtitles, those weren't overbearing at all. Good weekend timekiller.
