and you are listening to "rumors" from a source known to make stuff up who's job is to get clicks and using that to call people "eunuchs" while also not realizing that every team is run that way. the owner has to hire someone to run the team. who else would do it? then that person makes all the football decisions. some owners like jones get more involved but for the most part most teams are ran by the GM who makes all the decisions football wise. Not only that but we also at 1 time paid like 100k or something to a professional head hunter to hire us a GM and it was worse then anyone woody hired which is saying a lot.
This whole debacle is right on the back of Douglas. From his shit Wilson pick to giving the franchise to Rodgers and bringing in all his shit friends to his shit Offensive line to his inability to get a viable backup QB in here. I’m watching back up QBs get the ball in the end zone from Cincinnati to Minnesota to the Giants to Chicago. Joe Douglas has been an unmitigated disaster for this organization
It really is troubling to see so many no name backup QB's come in and thrive in some cases without very little game action and/or practice reps. And then there's the Jets who make trying to groom even a serviceable, consistent backup QB a task harder than curing a fatal disease. There is something very wrong with the QB position as it pertains to this franchise. Snake bitten would be an understatement.
I've been saying this since he released most of the previous roster. That would be 2019. He chose not to resign most of the O-line. Beachum and Shell, started for the Cardinals and Seahawks for the following 3 years. They are the only ones I looked at. But when this team and GM say, they would get better players. Where are they? No problem on the offensive line, I don't know why dummy Douglas just doesn't send an intern to NFL PlayersMart, with a shopping list of 6 or 7 starting grade O-linemen. I go there all the time.
How much are the NY Jets paying you? JD is great at F*cking up this NFL team. His record speaks for itself. So you understand, (and this is only a small sample) The two offensive tackles on this team when St. Joe took over were not resigned, they both went on the play in a starting capacity for their respective teams. Beachum and Shell, whatever you think of them, started for Arizona and Seattle for the next 3 years. Can't say the same for what St. Joe brought in to replace them. But hey keep collecting your NY Jets paycheck.
You like pain??? Serious question. And where did you purchase your crystal ball? Let me guess at the NY Jets employee's gift shop.
the o-line was really bad in 2019 though and he had no control (other then luring kalil out of retirement to be the center because we had none and that failed). beachum went on to sign a 1 year deal worth 1 mil. shell got 2 years for 9 mil. we signed fant for 3 years 27mil who outplayed them both and drafted becton with our 1st. rookie becton pre-injury and fant were a way better starting pair then beachum and shell. the real mistake we made on the o-line was keeping fant over moses and then letting fant walk too. if we had fant and moses right now the line would be much better off. he also added CMG who was the 2nd best FA OC on the market that year and has been solid for us. JD has made some mistakes but the initial overhaul of the o-line in his 1st real season wasn't one of them. that was the same year he signed GVR who was a huge bust for us and got becton injured when he was driven back into his legs go look at the mess of a roster we had in 2019 this is what we had when he took over and he's had 4 offseasons to overhaul it https://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/new-york-jets/roster/2019?sort=pos only players left are Q who he extended. he traded away adams at the right time for a huge value and hit with both picks (GW and AVT), traded away big cat and had to eat some bad contracts ( trumaine, enunwa, bell) from the previous GM.
how much are the pats paying you? see how dumb that joke is? if you are going to try and be funny don't use a joke from 1920
There is always a choice that can be made. We are already paying the price for the St. Joe sh*tshow. Don't let him make it worse than it is already. The only thing the entire front office deserves, is to be released. And saying otherwise, means you don't know much about the game of football.
It's not a joke. And I don't work for any NFL team. Why don't you write the same thing? Or is it too close to home?
Cut it with that JD nonsense, The two offensive tackles on this team when St. Joe took over were not resigned, they both went on the play in a starting capacity for their respective teams. Beachum and Shell, whatever you think of them, started for Arizona and Seattle for the next 3 years. Can't say the same for what St. Joe brought in to replace them.
Thanks for making my point. St. Joe could have kept some of the O-line instead of creating an expansion team. Ala, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of 1976. And stop with the injury BS, all teams have injuries. It's what happens to when you PLAY football. A competent GM would plan for that.
WTF are you talking about? You are the one who said everyone already knew that Rogers is running the show. Russini said the same exact thing, and all of a sudden it's rumor and innuendo because you don't like the source, even though the source said the same exact thing you did. You're talking in circles and making less sense every time you post, just to be combative. You don't even see that you're arguing with yourself. Holy shit.
write the same thing for what? everyone knows I don't work for the jets. I don't even live in NY anymore. why would someone who works for the jets come here on a message board with like 10 people and say their QB sucks? lol
becton is still starting for us 4 years later and fant started for us for 3 more years and then left via FA. he replaced 2 bad starters with a 1st rounder and a better FA complaining about that is pretty dumb even in hindsight. How dare our GM try to improve the shit o-line by signing a good FA and drafting 1 in the 1st lol
yes but some get more then others and the position matters too. QB injuries are the worst. 2nd worst is o-line especially if it's all on the same spot. having 2 backup o-line isn't that bad. having 4-5 backups is. jets have been one of the top 5 injured teams in the NFL over the past 4 years
"Snake bitten" would imply that they're just victims of some "bad luck snake". The reality is that they've created this record of failure by their own poor judgement and mismanagement over decades.
