you got factual proof he isn't? lol see how that works. it's the generally accepted as true answer. even if every NFL player said it, it can still be refuted as hearsay or "player speak"
HB dive, Screen pass left, screen pass right, Slant pass short of the sticks. I think I know the playbook too
At least BR had a successful college career. I have no issues signing this guy, what's there to lose except more games?
I said this weeks ago, but if the GM and coaching staff were so certain Boyle was not capable of being a backup in the league (and that's why they would not replace Wilson when it had become so obvious that Wilson was not an NFL QB) ... then Boyle never should have been signed in the first place. There is no reason you couldn't sign Boyle as an assistant coach (even with increased player-type salary) and let him teach the offense to everyone without filling a roster spot and sucking up cap space.
Yes, I do. But you can be Rodgers' friend (and a guy who is good at teaching the offense to others) and work for the Jets and not be in the roster. If the GM felt Boyle could not ever see the field, he should have been hired as a coach instead of a player.
Well, he may as well apply to be a coach now, bc after the league saw how he "plays" the position, his career is done
we only had 2 Qbs. boyle was on the PS to start the year he wasn't taking up a roster spot until rodgers got hurt. the case would have been to leave him on the PS at that point and sign another QB but even then realistically boyle had to be the QB2 for at least a few weeks to get that player up to speed. the reality is the second rodgers went down we were fucked no matter what we did, there was no right answer
I had to just shut off my usual go to reaction video summary guy I like to watch on youtube as soon as he started in with the he knows Hackett's system rationalization point. The "system"! I just can't stomach hearing anybody still going there as a consideration assuming they actually have even been watching any of the games lately lol
Which does raise the question of why JD dithered for two weeks before signing a new QB in Siemian- who probably wasn't even the best option available, but leaving that aside, JD was curiously content to just ride with Zach and Boyle.
no idea but GMs have to plan ahead too. and we were 4-3 with the toughest schedule at 1 point. it was ugly but we were winning. not like we are the only team with QB room issues who hasn't hadn't anyone. there is a case to be made for both sides
Watching him do what in this system? No deep, intermediate, or even short passes here in Hackett’s hell. We go horizontal or backwards only, baby!
We were winning, and all wins count, but it was not sustainable winning. And that has been borne out as the defense has not been able to continue to create four turnovers per game.
the jags in a close game fighting for a playoff spot allowed their backup to chuck a 50/50 40 yard deep ball at the end of the game. we tell out QBs not to take chances. we are playing not to lose. I know hackett has been bad but I also wonder how much of it is salehs gameplan/coaching style right now
