QBs just don't throw the ball down the field

Regardless of who the quarterback is for the Jets, they just don't throw the ball down the field. In the first quarter of today's game Wilson was wide open on a go route and once again Boyle just checked the ball downon which is something he seems to love.

My suspicion is that Saleh has ingrained into the quarterbacks not to take any risks and to just check the ball down expecting the defense to score for them. I think the combination of Saleh and Hackett is the perfect storm for a team who doesn't want to score points. They really do a great job at the prevent offense strategy

We didn't let Zach throw downfield because they were scared of accuracy issues. We don't let Boyle throw downfield because he has a noodle arm.

I'm assuming at this point that Aaron Rodgers just ignored every single play call that Hackett made and just called his own offense. And Hackett is such a limp dick that he didn't mind.

This is a hallmark of Hackett offenses. His father ruined Pennington with the same checkdown shit. Eventually all QBs get tired of hearing and just throw the ball to the guy wide open two yards behind the line of scrimmage. Randy Moss said Pennington threw the best deep ball in the league; Hackett 1.0 took it away from him (with help from our idiot cheerleader/head coach).

For the first time in my life as a fan, I have no idea, nor do I even care, who the quarterback will be next week. Normally I would be salivating at the press conference waiting for the decision to either shred it or agree with it, now - complete and total indifference.

Hahahaha the Jets offense is so fucking bad. As I said in the game thread - it’s a complete sham that we scored a garbage time offense against the Dolphins. This franchise deserves the all time record for games without an offensive touchdown.

    Fuck the Jets.

Didn't LaFleur call the plays? Pretty sure Hackett was just a QB coach with a fancy title.

Which makes him being the OC, with all of the responsibilities that usually come with that title, all the more sad.

LaFleur called the plays but Hackett probably gave himself the credit for the offense doing well anyway. There's no other way to explain his complete lack of ability to see what he's doing wrong and try something different.

Oh yeah. Rodgers got him a HC gig. Then got him another OC gig. He owes most of his resume to Aaron Rodgers.

And when they do it's intercepted or out of bounds

We should stop listening to HOF QBs about what coaches to hire. Hasn't served us well in the last 5 years.

Why throw it downfield when you can just call another shitty screen pass

What if we all have this wrong… and Rodgers is actually here to destroy things with his buddies, in retaliation for sauce wearing the cheesehead last year

Well, then I would say "Mission Accomplished".

Is there a white flag we can wave to end this? They probably sell them in the Jets team store.

Watching the eagles niners makes me feel like the Jets are in a different league. It's nice to watch actual football and realize why I love this game.

The only positive I can see from here on out, is getting a fire Hackett chant going next week. We have got to get that guy out of here .

that’s also an excellent idea… the Steelers have their towel, the jets should hand out white ones to wave in surrender

This does have the feel of sabotage. It's hard to believe that so many levels of the organization can be this grossly incompetent.
