Losing the LR is such a lame ass response, because if he so lost it last year then why did he return this season?? Or he was going to lose it this season…it’s just not the case.
He’s not as good as his best games and he’s not as bad as his worst. The composite is a bad quarterback.
Good post Frenbar. I agree that Boyle is a little bit of a blank slate and I'm not so quick to write him off. Greatness? No way. But can he get into a rythm, make a few first down completions, loosen up the running game just a little bit and maybe even score a couple TDs and put the Jets in a position where maybe our defense can carry the day? Possible. With Zach? Your getting the 6 point special and nothing is possible except for the slow, steady, and demoralizing slide down the shit slope.
Yes, he is. On a side note, we sometimes criticize HCs for not allowing a player to develop b4 giving him the boot. The opposite is true with ZW. No one can claim Saleh didn't give him a fair shot.
Refer to last season. The idiocy and insult has been ongoing. This is a late, small step in ending it.
True true. they gave Wilson over 30 freakin games man. What a disaster. 3 years in a row they were forced to bench him midseason
Unfortunately this ends nothing. We have no suitable back up on our roster. Let see how many games we win from here on out. The front office and the CS has hosed this beyond repair. This year is a major insult to all fans. If people believe this organization is on the right track now after benching Zach as he is the root cause of all our problems they are sadly mistaken. This roster offensively is full of holes that would make any QB falter even one as great as AR.
The problem was relying on Wilson from the day he was drafted. It was furthered by playing him as an unprepared rookie and that problem was compounded by continuing to play him as he gave no indication he was capable of consistent performance at an NFL level. In spite of that he was designated as the backup to Rodgers and there was no change when Rodgers was taken off the field. That's the problem in not having "a suitable backup on our roster." I certainly didn't say or imply it ended any of the lunacy but benching him again is certainly a late step and at this stage a very small step towards ending his tenure.
Borat said it best the GM built half a team... I say 2/3 ST included. That is it in a nut shell. the guy is 24-52 or .4615 if you include 2019. if you remove 2019 he is 17-43 or .3953 wining %. he has not had a winning season yet or has his Hand picked HC.... It his chit show... he owns it and I hope the stench fills his nostril, permeates his being so that whereever he goes people will vilify him for his incomptence. Apologies to all, for the nasty wishes but I am as disgused as I was with Rich Kotite and Leon Hess...
The upside of benching Zach now is that hopefully that if Boyle sucks it moves to Simean and that eats up weeks. We DO NOT want Zach to see the field ever again, in the unlikely event he has a good outing to fool this staff into thinking he can be the backup again next year.
Pretty depressing excuse for an upside if you ask me. We are in a no win situation. We are going nowhere with this offense no matter which QB du jour we choose to play on any given moment.
Guys, Boyle blows. I've had enough of Zach, and the team may have a good game or two with Boyle, but he's horrendous. The line vs. the Dolphins went from Dolphins -7 to Dolphins -9.5 when it was announced that Zach had been benched. Anyway, it's probably a good thing since I hope we lose every game the rest of the year for our draft pick.
The best thing Rodgers could say about Boyle was that he was a gym rat. Usually when I hear someone labeled like that it means he's a moron.
The only problem with that is I don't trust our draft picks anymore. Especially considering they will almost certainly take a quarterback to sit behind Rodgers for a year, neglecting all the areas of the team that need help. The Jets need to draft a quarterback late, at best in the mid round, and development. But that lead us back to not trusting them to do so. The only benefit of a high draft pick would be if they were smart enough to trade it for multiple picks, which considering we're a little bit more bare in the cupboard than we normally are, may be their intention. It's so sucks being a fan of this team.
Sure, but I trust them more to hit on a #5 overall pick than #11 overall. Don't think there's any chance they take a QB early. Think they've gotta go all in on getting Rodgers premium non-QB assets on offense.
One would have thought they'd do that this year, but there we were yet again, for the umpteenth year out of the past couple of decades, taking yet another defensive lineman.
