Only the Jets finally bench Zach weeks too late and replace him with the one guy who's actually worse.
He has 3 TDs to 9 INTs in his NFL career, and 1 TD to 13 INTs IN HIS COLLEGE CAREER AT UCONN! He was so bad at UConn he ended up transferring to FCS Eastern Kentucky, where he still threw more INTs than TDs.
You could be right, but I don't believe we have seen enough of Boyle to definitively draw that conclusion.
You say this like watching Zach wasn’t brutal. Zach was literally the worst QB I’ve ever seen starting for the Jets. It can’t get any worse. There is absolutely no worse than what this offense accomplished with Zach at QB. His incompetence isn’t entertaining at all.
Oh, come on. Hackett will cover up Boyle's deficiencies with brilliant game planning. LOL. Actually, I'll be curious to see how Boyle looks after taking the first-team reps this week, even if it is a short week.
He really wasn't. 7/14 for 33 yards, 1 INT and another pass that was almost intercepted. His brain works a bit faster than Zach's, but at least Zach can scramble and zip some late throws into tight windows (albeit windows that wouldn't be so tight if he threw it sooner). Boyle can't do either of those things.
how can you say in 2.5 years we've seen enough of zach but in 5 years we haven't seen enough of boyle? thats pretty contradictory. if he was a young QB in his 1st few years then yeah you can say that. the whole NFL knows what boyle is none of this matters though unless hackett changes his playcalling. nobody outside of rodgers or someone of his level can deal with these play calls. he made rusell wilson looked washed last year and now he's back to looking like old russ
Boyle sucks but we are playing for next year now, might as well give him a chance to try to secure a backup job Zach Wilson had his opportunity and blew it
We've barely seen him at all in a Jets uniform. But he's started games before, and seriously, what are the odds that he somehow looks better in a Hackett-led offense?
News flash, it HAS been brutal. Simien should be the starter but they gonna play Boyle and get the same results. Good thing we refused to hold any competition for Zach. Brilliant. This season has been unwatchable.
