How very sad and embarrassing to all Jet fans to be subjected to this. And to think less than three weeks ago we were foolishly hoping to boost the talent base for a playoff run before the trade dateline from teams perceived to be “ tanking “ while in fact the team that is tanking badly is us. Worst offense hands down across the entire league. When I posted the front office is on thin ice on a thread I was corrected with a long winded response that the only agenda is to develop Zach and not interested in winning and the entire front office gets a pass this year. Well, today embarrassing debacle ending with the long overdue Zach benching says otherwise. JD and RS have been completely exposed by the failed experiment and are vulnerable as hell. This team could not possibly go into next year without some significant personnel changes at the top of the food chain. Another failed season would cement three years of loosing without signs of improvement on sight. Hard to believe how low we have sunk.
No, not a single one. Boyle is not a talented QB, however he understands the role better than Zach. When you watch the film you'll see Zach and the Oline setting with 3-5 seconds left on the play clock, and it looks like panic time compared to being set at 15 seconds (when the coaches mic is turned off) when Boyle is at QB. Boyle actually had time to look over the defense and wasn't running a chinese fire drill.
Ehhh. His arm is horrible, maybe he got them to the line quicker but he doesn’t throw like the other guy.
It’s more like “Why so the Jets can ruin him”. This franchise can’t develop a QB. The best they can do is build a strong team around one and hope it elevates their game enough to be competitive.
It’s a time invested thing for me. Did we not just see this play out last year exactly the same? And we tripled down on Wilson. Just brutal. this is a damn good football team btw. But you can’t look anywhere near as good if you can’t even losses the ball. Shame on them all for keeping this kid here.
This game broke me. After the fumble on the opening kickoff I thought that was probably it. By the end of the first half I was fast-forwarding the game (I usually watch games the next day), and I zoomed through the entire second half, completely and utterly uninterested in the whole thing. Not even angry, I was actually laughing at some of the crap I saw. I will look at the scores of the game from now on, but unless it looks like it was a good game with plenty of scoring I won't bother watching them. I expect nothing better next year either. So maybe we can rebuild around a new quarterback in 2025. JD and Saleh and Hackett all need to go and nothing really good will happen while any of those three are still around.
We’re done for the season boys. Arguing about who’s the better QB between Wilson Boyle or Edmure Tully is pointless. Who ever is under center is going to look worse, even if we had a serviceable QB, that’s not our only problem. Our line is terrible and our receivers have stone hands and can’t get separation anywhere. Our D quit on us today. I watched it in real time. The season is over. Usually, the offense shows signs of life when there’s a QB change. I didn’t see that today, they still weren’t getting open. I’d be surprised if we win another game this season. Q was yelling at people on the sidelines. We’re done. Offense needs a complete overhaul.
3 completions to WRs all day. Zach Wilson did not complete a single pass to a WR. Boyle - 2 short ones to Garrett Wilson including 1 where he fumbled and 1 other short one to Gipson on a meaningless drive late. He would throw an interception a few plays later
I only have myself to blame... I took the time to watch that game all the while knowing from the outset that the Jets would loose and I would be depressed. The bureaucracy that is the Jets Owners, including all the Front Office personnel, and Coaching Staff are the problem. Halfhearted efforts at professional management.and poor recruitment is the reason that year after year the Jets just plain suck. Why change the structure? The money keeps pouring in due to the franchise agreement and the Monopoly they operate. Jets provide the NFL PUNCHING BAG yet again. I'm going to the Miami Jets Game on Black Friday. Will tailgate with my buddies. Probably leave at Half Time. The mood amongst Jets Fans today should be bottled and opened on the Jets Management next year prior to the draft.
Yeah, of all the years of shitty JETS football, yesterday was probably the worst for me. We're all used to them losing, and I'm ok with that if they're actually TRYING! Before halftime I said to my dad "If they trot Zach back out for the 2nd half, I don't have a reason to give a shit anymore..." At least he had a fridge full of beer, and the game ended in the dark, but why waste the time and energy anymore?!? If the weather is nice on Friday I'm going fishing.... not sure I've ever skipped a Miami game before..
The Jets stock ( players Coaches ) is worthless. Even with having that D and a few playmakers on Offense Meanwhile the Owner gets TV revenue and the dummies fill his stadium This can go on for another decade ..watch
It’s actually funny because I’m his post game presser they asked him about that and he broke from all his standard automated responses and started to contradict the reporter saying that he completed one to Lazard. The reporter pointed out that the play was negated by penalty. It was just kinda funny to see that point was the one that got Zach’s attention
That was probably me, and I do think they pivoted to Zach development over winning. That’s obvious. I also still think the FO is perfectly safe barring something incredibly embarrassing or Rodgers changing his mind and retiring. They spent millions on the Rodgers deal, I just don’t see Woody blowing that up and throwing that money away without even seeing Rodgers on the field again, and I don’t see Rodgers coming back under a new regime.
With this oline and receiving corps, it’s hard to imagine they thought of winning even with rodgers .
