Honestly, I feel like this is just conjecture and a way to get fans to chat about it - mission accomplished. (Watch the announcement come down 5 seconds after I hit send). There are several pretty good games that week, although the prime time limit could be reached for teams like the Chiefs (vs Bills) and Niners (vs. Seattle) or they'd already be in the slot. Broncos/Chargers looks like a game that could mean something, even the Jags/Browns could have playoff implications. They have 9 days from today to make an announcement about that week (12 days required, have to assume the Sunday games are included in that notice) - so conceivably they could push this out until the weekend right after Thanksgiving next week and see how the Jets and others fare. I think it's very likely they DO flex the game out though.
I think you're missing a few things. It's reasonable to see the lack of interest between the Giants and the Packers. The Giants and Jets are both home that weekend so if the Giants get flexed out, the Jets must get flexed in unless the NFL opts to experiment with four teams on the field at the same time Sunday afternoon. It requires 12 days notice to flex out some Sunday night games and all Monday night games. That's week 14 so the Sunday night game requires only six days notice. Scheduled is the Eagles at the Cowboys and I don't see that moving anywhere. www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/2023/5/18/23726976/nfl-flex-scheduling-breaking-down-the-new-rules-for-the-2023-regular-season-monday-thursday-night#:~:text=Flexible%20scheduling%20is%20in%20effect%20during%20the%20following,the%20NFL’s%20discretion%20in%20Weeks%2012%20–%2017.
The only thing I really missed was the biggest thing: two teams can't play home games on the same day. Good catch. Everything else is moot. But as far as flexing times, Monday games require 12 days, December 10 minus 12 days is November 28, which is only 10 days from now. I had assumed that the Sunday team flexing into Monday would also need 12 days notice, so that leaves us really only 9. But again, moot point.
Pretty sure the last thing the NFL (and their TV networks) want is more JETS trash on primetime TV...
