I agree with what you're saying in that the offenses struggles so far this year are not 100% on Zach but what you're referring to is kind of my point. Good/great QBs don't need to "see" the WR get open. They trust their WR, the route concept, the look that they get vs the defense, their ability to read defenses pre/post snap, etc. I don't see that ability with Zach consistently right now and other than a few throws here and there, I haven't really seen it for his whole career.
yeah. that was a thing for a while in the NFL. pats used gronk on one too but he couldn't tackle anyone and they let up a TD.
At this specific moment in time, Rodgers is rehabbing a torn Achilles. So it's not possible for him to be better...oh wait yeah he's still better.
Zach is a very frustrating QB to watch and I understand the negativity (not the hate) he is a young QB being held to unrealistic expectations. What is frustrating about Zach is that he is still making mistakes at the worst time. He played well against the Raiders we score a TD on that pick drive and the narrative is Zach is taking the next step and talking about the no look pass. Instead, we lose and here we are again. Zach plays great against KC then fumbles a snap. Takes 2 sacks against the Giants then makes a miracle play with 24 seconds on the clock. For F*** sake Zach just get the team in the end zone and beat the Bills and the Dolphins no more near misses hit the big play when presented. .
yeah thats the thing I'll never understand about fans. I get saying he's a bust and a bad QB because he is. but the over the top hate is insane. I remember back when tommy maddox was the steelers backup and he came in and was decent enough to lead them to the playoffs and was there for years and then had a rough patch in 2005 and fans trashed his lawn and harassed his kids while they were walking to school. I can't understand hating a player due to bad play on the field
FACT: Mike White has a 2.79M cap charge for 2023. Zach is not even a backup. A backup can throw TDs. The kid cannot throw in the redzone. He’s a developmental prospect and that’s it. Hack may have some blame. But MLF struggled getting this kid to score too. And we saw 3 other QBs move the ball under MLF. My only hope is they run the ball. i’ve given up on Zach having a eureka moment to figure things out. Just make one read and then run or throw away the ball.
Brain dead fans exist on every team. Hating one to the point of taking it out on any player never mind family is a sign of a sick individual.
Very little of it is hate. People who defend something always think someone who doesn't defend it or points out flaws is hating. It is not hate, it is the same frustration you mentioned. And it's exactly because of some of the things you said above. Plays well here, fumbles. Plays well there, fumbles. Plays well the other time, takes bad sacks. He is wildly inconsistent, and the consistent part is not nearly often enough while the inconsistent part generally costs us games indirectly or opportunities to win games. As for unrealistic expectations, at this point all people want is adequate. We are no longer looking for number two draft pick level expectations, we're no longer looking for him to put the team on his back, we are certainly not looking for him to be very good. All we are looking for is adequate. And he has not been able to do that. He has shown flashes of it, then he makes those mistakes you mentioned, generally in the fourth quarter during crunch time. Perhaps your expectations are too low.
I have to say, from stats don't matter to its everyone else sucks too so let's ignore the quarterback sucking. To say he has unrealistic expectations is fucking next level.
