Something to keep an eye on: I think the Jets-Texans game on Dec. 10 could get flexed to Monday Night. Currently, Giants-Packers is MNF. Both games at MetLife. So to move the Giants out of MNF, they have to move Jets there. C.J. Stroud makes it attractive, too. — Brian Costello (@BrianCoz) November 15, 2023
Can't we only have 6 primetime games? Does flexing allow you to go over that 6? Bills MNF Chiefs SNF Chargers MNF Vegas SNF Miami Black Friday Browns TNF
I have tickets for that game. If they move it to Monday I will curse at NFL schedule makers so bad, you can't even believe.
loophole - the black friday game is not considered a "prime time game", neither are the thanksgiving day games. Jets have 1 less than the max
Thanks! Good to know. I do remember there was a massive stink about why the Black Friday game was at 3:00 and not a night game b/c of some laws to protect high school and college attendance.
If we can only get one more Deon game, maybe they wait to see if AR comes back, and if so, save it for a late season game? We don't have too many great opponents left. But if we have a win and were in game week 18 against NE, and Rodgers is hot, maybe?
I can see our defense making Stroud look mortal, at which point we'll get another week of Zach trutherism: "See how Stroud's numbers weren't that much better than Zach's!"
Great, another chance to embarrass ourselves on national TV and this time at the hands of a rookie QB.
I hope not, late night games suck. Even when I didn't have responsibility getting me up at 6:30am, watching football until almost midnight is far down the list of things I want to do.
I’m cool with it since I’m off Tuesday. Less cool with it because we’ll see a good QB that helped turn a crappy team around this season. Stroud - 15 TD’s through 9 games in his rookie season Wilson - 20 TD’s through 31 games Wilson’s also on pace to take 60 sacks this season. Yes, DL’s have the upper hand in the NFL at the moment, but some of these guys manage to avoid them, like say, CJ Stroud. Christ…Wilson’s on pace for 200 sacks if he somehow made it to 62 games.
