except again you are basing the coach's performance on the end result without looking at any other factors and not realizing that having talent to work with makes a huge difference. all we can base it on is improvement. our offense got better. that is factual. we were without a lot of key parts but MLF worked wonders with what he had. the fact you aren't including the talent level at which the coach is working with makes no sense. if talent didn't matter which is basically your whole argument then FA doesn't matter, draft doesn't contracts doesn't. just field any 22 people and the best coach wins. basically your argument is that everyone in the world of football is wrong except you.
That's where we disagree. You want to make excuses for lousy performance; I have always considered what he has to work with and want to see progress - it's not there. Simply saying someone "worked wonders" without citing specifics doesn't feed the bulldog. That's what I, and others, have been trying to get out of you - what exactly did LaFleur accomplish to get him an A or B grade? What offensive players was he able to bring to a higher level than expected? There must have been a bunch to get such a high grade.
I literally gave you every specific. you just chose to ignore them. I don't see a need to repeat it. you can go back to all my other posts here for it or you know drop it
All you've ever given here is what you call "context" and I call irrelevancies. Who are all the guys he made better? Who did he utilize better? How did he adapt his game plans to make the Jets a better team? Showing how others were also lousy is not the answer. Simply claiming you answered the questions doesn't mean you did. Even just give the post numbers where you showed any positive improvement that LaFleur was instrumental in accomplishing.
IDK what to tell you dude. there is another 50 people who didn't agree with you based on the voting. maybe they'll have better luck getting through to you. go ask them
LeFleur had some ups and downs, no question. Don’t know what I give him for his grade but I want him back next year and he will be judged more closely after his rookie season. Thus I give him a pass for some poor performances this year but am curious for see what he learns, adapts and find the right scheme for ZW and the new players. I think he s a good fit for ZW.
Forget how Stroud is playing for a second. Super glad we got rid of this guy that ran the same exact offense they’re running down there that makes it easy for the young buck. We had to find a scapegoat for our first round mistake though.
Yes but the coordinator in Houston was on the same staff running the same scheme. Point is the offense looks easy and the playcalling is on point.
Watching the Cowboys and Giants game, Dak got Lawrence in his face, throws a dime to lamb, half a second before he gets clobbered, how is that possible, the excuses for Zach, say it's impossible
I'm not sure that means anything about MLF and his tenure. He's essentially the backup QB of the staff on the Rams. The offense is run by the head coach.
