So what you're saying is, all the players around Zach Wilson need to step up?

Allen Lazard had more than twice as many penalty yards as receiving yards and 2 drops (good thing we drafted a DE in the first round!). Hackett continues to be the most unimaginative, braindead, deer in the headlights OC in the NFL. The team continues to be completely undisciplined (penalties+turnovers).

Have been saying it for weeks - we are not a good team. Don't let the wins due to miraculous, unsustainable turnover margins fool you.

This offense averaged 17 PPG under MLF last year. It's averaging 14 with better play from Wilson this year (not that he's been good, but fuck Hackett is bad).

because he’s not the answer? Is he gonna make Lazard a better WR? That’s the #2…Gipson is in the slot…not much to work with. And the OL is getting beat up

They could've maybe started by not hiring an OC with a lengthy history as a terrible OC. A novel idea, I know.

This franchise is so fucking braindead. Seemingly not a single person with an IQ over 90 in the building.

The really sad news is that the AROD and offensive line injuries have likely masked the incompetence--and ensured at least another year of this ineptitude.

Oh stop, just last week he distracted the Giants kicker long enough to force a miss which led to the true start of the Zach "Just Give Me 24 Seconds" Wilson Era.

It's Woody. Douglas had been consistent in his methods, the most primary of which included a focus on younger players, right up until the point where he decided to veer completely off course and risk his job on a 39 year old star QB who was seriously contemplating retirement. That was 100% Woody forcing Douglas's hand and now he's stuck with the blame. A Woody trademark.

Yeah this is Jets 101, we don't even learn the right lessons about our weaknesses because of some extenuating circumstance. Injuries are one example. Another is when we win a bunch of close games and our leadership interprets it as us being better than we are and uses that as justification to bring back bad coaches/coordinators/players.

This franchise is just dumb through and through. The Jets are just a very stupid organization. That's all there is to it. Everything stems from that fact.

Unfortunately this groundhog day phenomenon has been going on through a half dozen coaches and/or regimes and there is only one common denominator through it all: ownership. It's not even remotely feasible that every single member of managment is the exact same level of stupidity and incompetence. It's also not a coincidence that we hired a GM who, when left to his own devices, had the team headed in the right direction. And where was Mr. Primary Owner? London. He comes back, the wheels fall off again.

It's sickening. And trying to get several million people to boycott to force him to sell the team would be a little difficult. One might even say impossible.

    It's me, I'm "One".

I agree about Woody being the common denominator, but I'm souring more and more on Douglas anyway.

He hired a coach who often produces an extremely undisciplined team that commits a ton of penalties and always starts slow. He signed an old RB when everyone knows it's idiotic to do so. He's completely failed at building the OL despite sinking a ton of resources into it. He traded up for a guard when we had 3-4 glaring holes in the line. He forwent taking a WR in the draft in favor of a DE who we never use because our DL is already too stacked.

Yeah, the bloom is kind of off the rose for him with me as well. I am not completely sold that he's terrible and should go, but I am much further along with that thought process than I was. However, I do hold the firm belief that he was initially given free reign and then had Zach Wilson forced upon him, then had Aaron Rodgers eventually forced upon him, and who knows what all in between. Same goes for Coach Saleh. He's got some glaring weaknesses, but he looks like a defeated man in every press conference after a tough loss. There's no way he's that dejected about the game. And there is absolutely no way I believe he is stupid enough to go down with the ship with Zach Wilson like he is. He's a puppet at this point. For JD or for Woody I'm not sure, but I've got a stack of bills that says Woody or at minimum, Woody via JD.

Not at all. Don't take me wrong, Zach also makes plenty of mistakes. He is a back-up QB, and can't really uplift the team. Heck, even with Aaron I am not sure if this offense would be good. Everyone takes turns on each play being bad, with OLine being bad all the time. We needed some help, and the point was that JD stayed put at the deadline and now there really isn't a way to get help. We just have to hope defense plays great and poor offense scores just enough points to get a low scoring win every other game or so. It is what it is.

He’s the starter. He was second string and now he’s first again, but he plays like he doesn’t belong in the league.

The offense as a whole is terrible but he actually makes the situation worse.

Zach Wilson is not playing better. He is last in the league once again in nearly every conceivable category. Holy fuck you weirdos just can’t get over this loser its creepy at this point.

Does he need to ask Rodgers permission to fire Hackett?
Not sure how this hierarchy works.

All I said was that he's playing better than last year. I even specified that he's still not playing well.

Is it even possible to be the worst QB in the league for 3 years in a row? Has that ever been done?
