This game could easily get away from us if Herbert & Ekeler get in sync early. Zach has to have a "good" game...
I expect it to get out of hand early, that's what we do lol. I also expect us to settle down in the second quarter, keep it close and dominate the second half on defense with Zach squeezing out a win with a late drive.
We’ve made the top QBs look pedestrian, not sure why this game would be different. The real question is “If the Jets wind up 2nd in the division this week, a half game behind Miami, will the “fans” start rooting for the team?
^For effect. I drag this out whenever the situation presents, but the only 'prediction' where I was ever absolutely on the $ was Nate Kaeding missing three FGs in the Jets PO game vs the Chargers. I can't tell you how they laughed. Who is they, you may ask? Everyone I said it to. I said, "Kiss my ring" and, "King me!" for a week to anyone who would listen. It really is my only claim to prediction fame. I know I saw somewhere that someone had photoshopped a Jets knit winter hat on Kaedin'g head after the game. It was hilarious. I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.
Dolphins lose, if the Bills lose too the Jets go into Monday night with a chance to be 2nd in the division and 1/2 game out of first place. Stadium should be rocking.
I think they will King. Season Opener light show will be repeated tomorrow. Should be a good night for fans. Hope team can pull this off.
Just read through this thread and I'm a little surprised by the optimism. My confidence is absolutely in the dumps but hopefully I'm wrong. I feel like many of our games so far the defense is going to have to make a few scoring or quasi-scoring plays just to keep pace on the scoreboard. And I'm not sure we can expect that to happen yet again this week. I'm afraid the Jets may face some really tough sledding these next three games.
Something is going to give with the Jets soon, likely this game. The way they've been playing is unsustainable. Either the floodgates open and the defense breaks, the offense starts turning the ball over and the Jets get killed, or they show they've learned from their tough gritty recent experiences and they get the offense over the top and win convincingly. I don't see another ugly low scoring game here and I don't feel the Jets are capable of winning a shootout, soooooo: Scenario A: Charges 34, Jets 13 Scenario B: Jets 24, Chargers 14 Being a Darksider that has seen scenario A outpace Scenario B by an estimated margin of 10:1, I'm gonna go for the low hanging fruit and say the dam breaks the wrong way.
Haha no not at all. I think I picked the Jets to win every game so far but the Chiefs game. But after watching the Jets offense manage literally nothing except a lucky broken screen pass all day against a team that wouldn't even let their QB throw I kind of predicted defeat the NEXT three games. I guess I just turned into a darksider with like 1:30 left in the game last Sunday. I think unless we find a way to get our offense moving forward once in awhile wins are going to dry up fast around here.
LET'S FUCKING GO!!!! *yes, this will probably end in a JET crash.... Seeing the standings this morning really makes that PATS game sting even more...
Malik Taylor- What do we know about this kid? He flashed in the preseason and got open deep in OT last game. I see he is from Ferris State and only ran a 4.46 in his pro day. I am hoping this kid can do some damage tonight but I do not know that much about him.
