Don’t forget that the Giants stud kicker suddenly missed two well within his own range for reasons unknown.
Mcdonald jumped over the line and got in the way on the last one. Definitely affecting the kick but he just missed the other one I think.
The way the Giants were playing from the missed FG onward late in 4th, pretty obvious Giants had to shave points at the end so Vegas could get a push on the line. Oh, the drama.
The second field goal opportunity had nothing to do with the defense. I forgot about the first one, though Taylor was still in at QB on that drive.
A Pyrrhic victory for sure with almost the entire O Line down for the Count Could Zach W ever win another game like that with less than 2 minutes and his clutch passing?? I give that a 5% chance of happening..maybe 15% lol The passes to the feet of receivers showed a disgusting regression in his NFL QB development ...and that had to happen at least 50 % of the time ..ugh
Nobody quit on the coach, Zach Wilson was just god awful and we had no oline. Hopefully Simian gets elevated from the practice squad before the Giants grab him.
It was an ugly game. You win ugly games, and when you do, good things could lead to to better chance of getting to posts. I don’t know what more coach can do on late hits/stupid penalties like Clemons did. not sure which Quincy Williams call some here didn’t like. He made spear headed the guy way late on an incomplete pass.
The penalty on Jermaine Johnson was questionable. I thought the QB was a runner at that point and thus the silly QB protection rules shouldn't apply and gang tackle is acceptable. Just 2 weeks ago this team was one of the least penalized in the league.
It was a rough game. Some absolutely atrocious penalties. Giants don't sniff the endzone without them lol. Having said that, Jets are 11th in penalties against and 4th in penalty yards against this year. We can't call Saleh an undisciplined coach yesterday, unless you're willing to also credit him for the season as a whole.
They're in the bottom half of the league of the league in total penalties, so not too bad actually. But they have the most unnecessary roughness and are top 5 in roughing the passer... https://www.footballdb.com/stats/penalties.html?sort=numpen
Anyone have video of Jermaine Johnson's late hit on the QB? Unbelievable. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
Weather has little effect on the defensive side. Offense always struggles in bad conditions. For those who want a grass field at Met. Life. Remember two teams play there. After a rain game the field would be so beat up it would be a muddy mess.
