Jets players this season seems to like Prime Time. I think we win this one. Jets secondary will make life difficult for Herbert and Defensive Line might have a few timely sacks to shift the game towards Jets. Only thing I hate in this game is mentally midget Zach. If he plays a clean game we will win. If he can't get his head out of his ass we will lose.
My son's 15th birthday is Monday with Tuesday off school (teacher work day or something) seems like the perfect storm to go to my 1st game at the giant air conditioner. Went to a lot at the Meadowlands but I was younger w/ a lot more free time. Any suggestions as far as tix, hotel, tailgate would be appreciated.
Hey bud. Do you rather bring your car to tailgate or use a hotel shuttle to take you and your son to parking lot? Hotels close to Metlife offer shuttle if you stay with them overnight. If you take the shuttle then you can join one of the paid tailgates or approach a big group and tell them you come from out of town and you would like to hang out with them. Pretty friendly tailgaters all across the parking lot. If you prefer to drive, try to buy your parking pass before the game ticket. It is a Monday night game and no Rodgers. Chargers also don't draw a big crowd. You should be able to find decently priced tickets thru stubhub or ticketmaster.
Thanks Brook, I'll probably look into the shuttle. I figure chargers wouldn't have a huge draw and at the same time if the Dolphins lose to the Cheifs and Bills to the Bengals we will be going into that game 1/2 game out of 1st place if we win. I'll look for TGG tailgates if I ultimately go, don't have much faith in a win but hoping it's electric with the possibility.
Let me tag some folks who I know are Season Ticket Holders to see if they can host you at their tailgate. @GREG , @BroadwayAaron
I agree who knows what Jet's team will show up? I was dumb enough to think the Jets would destroy the Giants. No more predicting Jets games (LOL). Ok, I will say the Chargers win so when I am wrong the Jets will win.
No tailgate for us unfortunately. Hard to make it there from CT on a workday in time for anything more than a Premio and kickoff.
I picked the Jets but it's probably just me riding high on a Victory Monday, wearing my Jets polo at work. As a lot of people in this thread have said though, this team seems to play up or down to their level of competition. Here's to hoping all that "self-scouting" Hackett and the offense did over the BYE just takes an extra week to kick in.
Looks like the Jets are wearing white for this game. They haven't posted anything yet, but the Chargers have posted their powder light blues for this game. The Gridiron Uniform Database (gridiron-uniforms.com)
Herbert's finger injury is making him shy of contact--if we get consistent pressure on him we could shut him down. Obviously gotta gameplan for Ekeler. I expect ZW to bounce back to far below average from the g-d awful he was yesterday. So, Jets win.
Yeah I noticed that. Whats up with that? I don’t think they can wear the 80’s uniform - I believe they need pre-required permission for that. I’m guessing they’re going with yesterday’s all whites? Woody is such a drama Queen with these uniforms lol…. By the way did you happen to notice the Titans and Falcons were both wearing dark jerseys yesterday? I guess that was due to the Oilers throwbacks because both teams are not allowed to wear dark jerseys usually…
Supposedly the Chargers pass defense is not the greatest so it may play into Zach’s favor…..the Jets problem right now is bringing in healthy bodies for this dangling shell of an OL. Let’s not discount a major factor for this game either - the Chargers are traveling east and the Jets bye week is in the past now. They have been home for 3 weeks - any bye week doldrums should be gone.
For some reason I feel better about this game than the Giant game. I knew that game would be ugly (though not that ugly). I predict the team will step up and expect a much better performance on both sides of the ball and coaching. I think they'll be able to limit the Chargers offense and move the ball on offense against the Chargers D, which I don't think too much of, and especially not their HC. Not to say it will be an easy game by any stretch, but I'm expecting a bounce back. I think it'll be a fairly high-scoring game and they'll come away with the W.
This. The Chargers are the one team in the league that does choke and inexplicable stupidity as well as the Jets.
I have lost all confidence in the offense, which means they probably bounce back and have a decent game. Usually I’m pretty good at having my finger on the pulse of the way the Jets are going to play, but this year they are setting new standards for unpredictability. Something has to give. The Jets either have to break out and finally get over the hump, or they regress because what they’re doing is unsustainable. I say the dam breaks and we lose big. Ekeler runs wild, offense can’t do anything, Chargers win 27-6.
Gloves have to come off here. We match up well enough vs their O. Sauce vs Allen DJ vs a Rookie WR But, they can score. We will need to score some TD''s here.
LAC 7th WORST overall D in yards. WORST passing D in yard allowed per game at almost 300 YPG. Pretty good run D and top 10. Zach Wilson, this is your time.
