CC, Will Levi’s QB Throws 4 TD’s today... I tuned in late 4th Q and when the anouncer said that ZW run for the 1st was the 1st 1st down I LOL.... What I read from all of the posters like LA, etc. was that this team was inprepared and indiscoplined
Kid has zero situational awareness. Add this to scrambling into the blitz rather than away from it, throwing a check down to an obviously covered receiver on 4th and 10, throwing to an obviously covered receiver in the middle of the field when you have no timeouts and only ten seconds left in the half…
No rope CC. Enough with him. Move on from him for good end of the season. He doesn’t have the mental make up of a franchise QB. Time to move on. No more rope after this season.
How about that 3 and 10 pass before the 4th down that Lazard dropped. How about that screen to Breece that he probably would have scored dropped. GW dropped to critical balls It was not all on Zach. Let's not forget what 24 sec Zach did at the end of the game and overtime. Zach had his issues as did most of the offense.
Well I would tend to agree with you actually, but just like today's miracle - when you've given up all hope of things turning around - BAM! - things turn around. Unlikely? Sure. But all we can hope for is that he somehow continues to at least let them win...not that he was responsible for the win today, but in the end he did pull it out. Yes, the Jets need a good QB. It's highly unlikely that Zach can ever be that, but that's all they've got for now. I hear Cousins can be had cheap...
Zach sucks. But he's our suck. Him sucking doesn't make his team mates suck if they aren't perfect. When you watch an entire game of a player sucking, and someone wants to bring up 3 plays out of 35 plus to show said player doesn't suck, you've lost.
I will say this, there aren't many QB's that can do what Zach did today. It was Rodgersesque. He definitely has the arm to succeed in the NFL. Unfortunately, he keeps playing every game like he's learned nothing from the previous game. It's like being forced to watch a bad sitcom every week. Every team that the Jets face from now on is going to do the same thing: focus on stopping the run, make Zach throw the ball. Until defenses respect his arm, I'm afraid the sitcom will remain on the air.
Taking Levis was a stretch, but not drafting any Qb was the crazy part. Tyler Bagent looks a lot better than Wilson.
I did the same basic thing and left the house all pissed off with a minute and a half or whatever left and I've never done that before ever. Just about gasped when I came back and realized they actually won and just watched the end now. What a day... These really aren't the same old Jets in a sense. Big time lucky now in the Bills game, Eagles, and this one. Wilson just isn't good enough to win these games. Today I'm tempted to say he was more or less the same player but we saw the Jets NOT have the benefit of a ton of turnovers. That really isn't fully true though because they DID have the benefit of the other team virtually having no quarterback. Or at least one that wasn't even allowed to throw. From where I'm sitting its a borderline miracle we have a winning record with Zach playing QB and I'd give strong consideration to giving Siemien a try. If nothing else I feel like the leash needs to get a lot shorter. Outside of Breece miraculously breaking a 3 yard pass for a 50 yard TD the offense never moved all day and would have lost 100 out of 100 times if the other team had a guy that was allowed to throw. Very discouraging.
For what it’s worth, that weather was awful today. With that being said, they need to put this kid in a position to succeed. Everybody knows PA boot is coming first down. Let him throw and drop back. Quick hitches. Painful to watch him play and need to Scheme to his advantage.
