We are 4-3 and going against one of our potential AFC play off opponents on Monday Night Football. Winning this game will help us tremendously in terms of Play Off seeding. Go Jets!
As I said in the Giants game thread two weeks ago. We can beat and lose to any team in the NFL. I wasn’t shocked that we almost and should have lost to the Giants and I won’t be shocked if we beat the Chargers. There is no way to predict what his team is going to do week to week.
We have no idea which Jets team will show up next week. At least the game is at MetLife. Saleh and his Merry Men might have the team ready, or not. We don't know about them either. One thing is for sure. Our offensive gameplan will not be enough to win another shitfest of a football game. We SHOULD win but we said that today and look how that turned out..
I'm going to wait until I see the injury report before I vote. Our OLine is decimated...JD needs to deal Lawson/Cook for some OL help. I don't think any team is ready to give any quality OLmen, even if they're back-ups.
The Jets are finished as far as the playoffs go unless they make a deal by Tuesday to bolster this OL and they need Tippman back. Hall couldn’t find any daylight after the centers went out. Once again OL needs to be the #1 priority this offseason …
The Jets are going to get annihilated by the Chargers. They almost lost to a guy who passed for -1 yards. When you almost lost to that, your time of being a competitive organization is essentially over for the year. Herbert is going to come in here and pass for significantly more yardage than that. Plus, it's on national TV. We tend to lay our biggest eggs on national TV. Which is frightening to consider after today's all-time bad performance.
I'll be there. First Jets game since the last Chargers game at MetLife on Christmas Eve 2017, which was a dud outside of a Bilal Powell 60-yard TD run. So glad we have momentum going in, disgusting game today aside.
Actually a really good matchup for us. They stink on defense and they like to throw the ball down the field which is something we take away very well.
If the Eagles version shows up, we win. If the Giants version shows up, we lose. Though at least nobody in the league can choke quite like the Chargers can.
Yeah I can understand that train of thought after today’s performance but I have a feeling the Jets will play a little better …. hell they almost have to it can’t be any worse than today. I think today may have been a superstorm combination of bye week lag, weather, OL injuries (Breece couldn’t get untracked after both centers got hurt), and a good defensive game plan by a good defensive coach. Not to mention bonehead penalties …. The Jets from the KC and Eagles games better show up though … the Chargers aren’t the Giants.
I don't get why the chargers lose so much. Before the season I thought this game was a potential L. I'll go in with the lowest of expectations.
I think the Jets show up like they did against the Swifties and play a pretty good game. Seems they play up or down to the level of their opponent. Sign of an immature football team and CS.
Our defense will keep us in it, but the Chargers aren't going to be held down for the entire length of the game.
Low scoring or high scoring, it’s going to be a battle of who can make the play that loses the game for the other team.
I think even when the Chargers play bad they put up some points. I have no faith whatsoever in the Jets offense putting up points of any kind.
