I can't think of anyone worse in the modern age of offense in the NFL. This guy absolutely SUCKS and wouldn't be here if it wasn't for AR. To his credit, he admits his offense sucks but does that really matter at this point? This team is going nowhere with Hackett at OC and Zach at QB.
Two things can be true at once. Hackett has produced terrible offenses his entire OC/HC career without Rodgers.
Some of those play calls today were truly head scratching. Empty back field on 3rd & 1 is just stupid when you have Breece Hall. Twice they passed on 3rd down & short with a one read. 2/15 on 3rd down. 10 points in regulation. Just dumb football. Gold Zone my ass...
Hackett is terrible. So is his boss. Woody should relieve both of them of their duties after today's debacle.
I tuned in at 3 mins left and watch ZW get sacked twice and continue to hold the ball to long. I could not believe they had 1 as in 1 1st down .... ZW is the problem and not the solution as so some here would have you believe.
Everybody wanted to fire MLF... I was completely against It.. It's almost laughable how bad Hackett Is as an OC right now.
Exactly, "Two things can be true at once" is a motto I've always lived by. And both Hackett and Wilson are a perfect example.
Nathaniel Hackett did work with the likes of Kyle Orton and produced a decent result. KYLE ORTON!! I'm inclined to think that Zach Wilson is less than half the QB that Kyle Orton was. And Kyle Orton wasn't exactly the world beater, so there you go.

I started a thread a while back comparing the two and honestly, I prefer MLF to Hackett any time. Zach just isn't ready to be a starting QB in the NFL so it shouldn't surprise anyone Zach couldn't run an NFL style offense. Truth be told? I miss Morton who was the last Jet OC with a plan and a set of balls.
He’s not the worst in history but Ive not seen a coordinator that is so bad keep getting job after job after job. he should be so grateful for his father
I’m not a huge fan but I still didn’t see this atrocious playcalling everyone’s talking about. We’re pretty handcuffed because of our passing game It’s easy to sit here as a fan and be angry at everyone first down run but first down runs do exist in successful offenses. They only get trashed when the passing offense is at the bottom of the league.
If he starts doing empty backfields like he did today he still be worse than MLF. Last year I'm pretty sure Jets were tops, or near the top, of percentage of plays with empty backfield while being the worst in production out of the formation. Lazard has been awful this year. This the relevant but I really wanted to say it.
