Someone on Twitter posted highlights of the first ever Eagles Dolphins game from 1970. Just about every Eagles sack of the Dolphins QB came with a raised arm "chop" to the side of the neck/ shoulder blade/ head. It's comical to see now what was standard gameplay in the past. It's changed more than we realize.
It has changed a whole lot, even at the high school levels. And rapidly. The game did not look too different really from the 1970s all the way through to the mid 2000s. But mid 2000s to today it is like a different game
The only thing I am admitting is that the Jets offensive line is certainly worse than the Bills' and not much better than the Commanders' . So if anyone has a different opinion from you, that means they are not a Jets fan?
No doubt. This is why there will never be another 85 Bears. This is not to say they weren’t incredible, but they made their living destroying QBs and WRs. Soooo many of those hits would be 1st downs today … leading to points given up. How many sacks would be taken off he board? How many “defenseless receiver” calls? How many of their forced turnovers would be negated with the ball given back to the other team … plus 15 yards? Even if you had the talent to be the 85 Bears, you’re not allowed to be the 85 Bears.
Patriots 6 Jets 3 says hello. Then again considering the circumstances this game is probably much worse.
You were right. "The Jets allowed -9 passing yards today… the fewest in NFL History" History made!!!!!
