I’d float a late round pick for Tannehill. Putting all the eggs into the Zach Wilson basket is baffling. There’s no backup plan if he gets injured or fails to improve.
I wouldn’t be mad at it but why didn’t we just bring in Wentz for cheap no draft pick baffles me as well. I would take Ryan too if it’s like a 5/6th
There are rumors that Washington Commanders are close to a fire sale. 2 guys that would be good fits are WR Curtis Samuel and QB Jacoby Brissett. they are both in the last year of their contract. I think Samuel slots in nicely. And Brissett could end up starting at QB if need be
I don't know how much of a stock I should be putting in these 3rd-party analyses, but have at it: https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/best-nfl-offensive-line-rankings/ Titans OL clocks at *Gulp!* 32nd. Commanders at 30th. Maybe there is an individual lineman that can help us - I don't know. Overall, maybe we need to look elsewhere if we're interested in OL help. Tannehill does offer very good insurance though.
Can't see Jets bringing in a QB upgrade at this juncture. Too much time and resources have already been pumped into Zach Wilson. It's sink or swim with Zach. If we swim, GREAT! POs. If we sink, well that's great too...much better draft picks, 2024 season tics already sold out, and Aaron Rodgers is on deck. Only positions we could benefit from are legit Oline help, even if we have to give up a mid/late draft pick, and a legit WR2 (something we've needed since day one of this season, or at least since the day CD12 retired). Garrett/Conklin can't do it alone, and Lazard struggles get separation. I'm sure Joe Douglas has been busy, so we'll see. If we can land a true WR2, it's gotta be for at least 2 seasons so Aaron can benefit too.
Agreed. That ship has already sailed. If they were going to do it, it would have been by the Eagles game so that the new QB could have had the bye to get acclimated to enough of the playbook to be abe to go out there on Sunday and be somewhat effective. For better or worse, we're going as far as Wilson can take us.
