They weren't great. They were mediocre. They played a really easy schedule (afc South NFC North) and won an absurd number of one score games - 10. They had to pay Jones which limited where else they could spend. They've been hurt by injuries on the OLine. Their WR room is the worst in the league. And they are starting 2 rookie CBs. They paid Saquan and Waller who both have injury histories
Yeah I think the biggest issue for them is the multiple injuries on the OL for sure…they’ve had half their line out already, and their left tackle has been pretty good. Their receivers aren’t awesome but they’re ok…about on par with ours outside of GW probably But as bad as our OL has been, Jones was getting sacked 10 times per game…crazy
The hell with an ugly win, you are going to kick the living $hit out of them! I can't stand the smugness of Giants fans who look down on the Jets. Here is your chance to put these a$$holes in their place! I expect total annihilation and the Jets to be known as the New York Jets football team from now on. You will own New York and hopefully, someday get your own stadium!
Johnson tried to get a new stadium a few years back. I think that ship has sailed now. East Rutherford, NJ is the permanent home for the Jets and Giants. As a Jets season ticket holder who lives 20 minutes away from MetLife Stadium I am Ok with this
"The Riverhead Jets"... lol Shad Khan is keeping that London card in his pocket to flex muscle vs Jacksonville
Jags took London but the NFL is talking about Spain and Brasil now. Maybe Ambassador Woody can get his stadium after all. Sao Paulo Jets
Some might say that Johnson failed as a billionaire getting others to pay for a new stadium. Who's surprised?
Woody fckd up by being stubborn on the WS location. All he had to do was pivot to either Rockaway or the Old Yonkers Raceway site and that would have most likely gotten approved. Sheldon Silver had too much clout at the time and the residents of the West side really didn't want the traffic anyway.
The pivot should have been right back to Flushing Meadows - a far superior location than the West Side, Rockaways, or Yonkers. Part of a sports destination area including Baseball, football and tennis venues which should include residential and hospitality development that has been successful in many other places.
The tough thing about that is once something is dedicated as park land it is almost impossible to reverse. The parking lot east of CitiField would be ideal.
