the headline was apparently shitty. it's a 12 week return so week 15 would be the actual return week apparently. still I don't believe he'll be back this season but I think he'll be ready for camp next year easily
Rodgers said on mcafee he has an insert in his shoe to help strain the achillies but not stress it so it doesn’t stretch yet. That’s how he walks
Can anyone really imagine Rodgers coming back to this team, even this year, with as bad as our OL can be, his playing days will be over, almost faster than his start did for the Jets I can't stand Wilson, but at least he can scramble, and extend plays with his feet.
The OL hasn't really been that bad considering the lack of a QB that can read the defense well and adjust blocking assignments... and also a QB that gets the ball out consistently under 2 seconds. They will have had an entire season to work things out and then they will be getting a vast upgrade at signal caller. There's that, and there's the fact that anyone who sneezes on him will get a 15 yard flag after such a historic return..
Ya Great points! However does that flag come out, considering he is now a Jet? It's only been 3yrs , since our last roughing the passer call, in our favor
If we're still alive in Week 18 then I'd be happy to see him back there. Not sure I'd like him there a week earlier facing Myles Garrett and company though!
I agree for the most part, but if Rodgers really is planning to come back this season, it would be extreme negligence for Douglas not to trade for OL help at the deadline.
My money is on door number three. I also believe that choice four is a lesser possibility now - he never hits an NFL field again.

It's nice that he's throwing, but at the end of the day it's basically meaningless for the 2023 season. He's not coming back this year. I'll take notice of what Rodgers is doing either when he releases a press release announcing his retirement after the season or when he shows up on the practice field at OTAs and/or training camp next summer.
I’ll suspend reason for a second and assume he actually can play this season. NO WAY you make him play on Christmas Eve, and then come back and face the Browns D on Thursday night. Playing twice in 4 days would be insane. You wait for week 18 vs Pats … or cross your fingers and let him play vs Cleveland, and then he gets 10 days before the Pats finale.
If the comeback or the McAfee thing doesn't work out, Rodgers can always audition as a patient on General Hospital.

You must have missed the numerous discussions about the blocking scheme on that play. I guess it wasn't a Zach Wilson thread.
