Interesting…I kind of feel like we should be a bit more aggressive and throwing into the end zone from about the 25 or so…feels like we go run run run and then try and have Zach complete a 3rd down pass when the field is compacted and crowded and he hasn’t been able to do that…he can’t see it well enough. Feels like if we take a few shots from a bit farther out when there is more space he may do better…not sure why we don’t use more crossing routes with Conklin or GW and get them the ball in space and moving…also need to keep Hall in the game and throw him a few….let him sneak out to the flat or park about 5 yards down right in the middle in front of Zach…give Zach some easy throws, and then when we’re closer inside the 10, why not try some RPO’s or rollouts where Zach can either toss an easy pass or just run the ball in…seems like there are a bunch of more creative options we can do to try and score TDs instead of just settling for FGs Hopefully they work on red zone all bye week
defense has been CLUTCH in the the W's... but they give up yards. per game 22nd 19.8 pts per game 13th 3rd downs 46.5 % 29th this is far... very far, from lights out... Brooks a good guy, maybe a great guy. But he's adolescent in his over hopefullness.
Los. Wish I was as good a guy as you think but I will take it coming from you. Yes we have long way to go. But a team who wins next 3 games will tell me this team is on its way to great things. Your data is accurate. But We played against Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott. Those are great QB's and great teams. Maybe Dak is just average. There is hope my friend. Especially if we win the next 3 games.
Hey Coach, you want to be in the PO, try making some of these changes: play Abanikanda and bench cook or trade/cut him, give more reps to Ruckert who faster and better blocker then Uzomah, Call more TE pass plays in red Zone, bench Cobbs who and play brownlee.... can you image ABanikanda in the streach zone runs...
I'd expect to beat the Giants and I think the Raiders game would be close as they've not exactly lit up any scoreboards and I fancy our D over theirs. The tough game is the Chargers as they have Herbert and a pretty good team BUT they are always capable of pulling off a loss from out of nowhere.
If each game were a coin flip, the odds would be 1/8. I think our odds are a bit better than that given who we're playing, so maybe as high as 1/4.
How good are the Dolphins really? Take a look at their 5 wins. That is a combined record of 5 wins and 24 losses. Credit them for winning the games they should as you can only play who is on your schedule. But the one good team (Bills) they played they got smoked. LAC (2-3) NE (1-5) DEN (1-5) NYG (1-5) CAR (0-6)
Yes, the next three games are "winnable", but they're also easily losable. The Giants always give us problems and they're desperate, and they don't want to be embarrassed by their co-tenants. The Chargers with Herbert can definitely beat us. And traveling to the West Coast has always been a challenge for us. We could easily be 3-6. With the Jets there are NO "gimmes".
I like to take it one game at a time. The Jets win a game the fans start talking Superbowl, we lose fire everybody and play for the tank.
