Zach is playing decent again but the team keeps shooting themselves in the foot with these penalties.
It is absolutely like pulling teeth over and over again for this team to score a touchdown. It's so frustrating and painful to watch every week. And it seems like it's been going on for years.
I agree that it should be. But it’s not a spot foul it’s considered a personal foul, not a standard penalty.
The refs on the payroll aren't exactly helping. It sucks even harder that this game is shockingly winnable.
I get what you are saying, but what if the defender wants to blast Lazard into orbit? This is why it is a terrible rule. If the NFL wants to make it a penalty for the defender making contact against Lazard - essentially have the rule go both ways, then ok. However, the rule as written/called in that circumstance is a joke.
I don't give a f--- what they call in other games (or what Dean Blandino thinks) ... you cannot "blindside" hit a player in his chest. It's not Lazard's fault the defensive player wasn't looking at him; it's not his responsibility to stand there until the other guy seems him coming, then block him.
