I'd be somewhat happy... Is Leonard a good blocker? If so, than I'll take him. Cool... Brandon Myles.

we don't have a 4th round, 6th round, or 7th round pick at the moment.

Other then that, i'd be satisfied with that draft; not thrilled

Why would we need to draft 2 DEs? I would spend it on an OL, or Best OLB or RB available?

Anthony Spencer will be a speed rushing OLB in the 3-4.
Adam Carricker will be a 3-4 DE.

I too like Justin Harrell from Tennesse ,and he is a guy that has not been discussed much on this board.

I also like Kuresa from BYU. I actually watched the 1st qtr of the Hula bowl tonight. (Thank God for Tivo) and he was very impressive. Of course, he is playing against mostly guys that will be either picked on the second day or are FA's, but he was dominating the guy across from him on ruinning plays.

I love the Adam Carriker pick as the guy is a beast at 6'6, 295 and could fill in very well at RDE in place of von Oelhoffen. As for the rest...

No legit running back? Comeon now. Brian Leonard is more of a fullback than he is anything else and if we're drafting a RB in the first 3 picks we have got to hope he can be a starter in this league because Leon Scatback Washington certainly is not. Brian Leonard may even be there in the 3rd round but I think it's wishfull thinking on your part if you want Leonard on the Jets unless Mangini thinks he can make a good FB out of him.

Also, no Corner? I guess you're hoping on the signing of either Asante Samuel or Nate Clements.

That's where I think people are wrong, I think leonard is better running the ball then blocking. Hes equally skilled @ both.

Or he realized that there is no such thing as a dominant corner anymore, so why waste a draft pick on one? We run a system based on a zone. Belichick does it with castoffs every year, and succeeds. You need elite safeties in this system, not elite corners. Hank Poteat has succeeded this year with us. That's when you know it's a system job.

Excellent draft. Our draft picks are as follows:

    First
    Second
    Second (Washington's tradeup)
    Third
    Fifth
Six or Seven from Tampa Bay (Doug Jolley)
    Seventh from Detroit (Jon McGraw)
Undiclosed draft pick from Minnesota (Brooks Bollinger)

Kolby Smith could definitly be a steal. He's not tiny and he's got some moves.
