There is no excuse to lose this game. I know the Jets have had many SOJ moments over the years, but the Broncos are a mess. Defensively they are terrible. Breece should have a big day running the ball. The defense should have no trouble getting after Wilson and the Broncos offense. The only way the Jets lose is if they turn the ball over and give the game to Denver. If they aren't 2-3 sometime around 7:30 Sunday night, then what the hell are they doing as an organization.
The Jets haven't posted anything yet but those Broncos uniforms. BARF!!! The Gridiron Uniform Database (gridiron-uniforms.com)
For as bad a team as they are, Russell Wilson has some pretty good stats so far this season. Are they all garbage time stats or is he playing much better?
The Jets defense made life difficult for Allen and Mahomes. Wilson with the Broncos hasn't worked out up this point. I would be surprised if the Broncos had any real success against the Jets. Sure, they will make some plays, but it shouldn't be enough to win.
He has gone up against the: 13th 20th 25th 29th Ranked passing defenses in the league. Not really world beaters. He also had a 50 yard hailmary completion in week 2 which adds to his numbers, but I hate the "take away this play and he has X". I think he's been fine this year, but their defense is the real problem.
Alot of it is on the defense too. If you are a good defense you don't put yourself into double digit holes every game. Even if the offense is starting slow, the defense should step up and not start slow either. They have to play better at the start of these games asap.
How much of that is b/c they have no faith in their QB? The moment the offense started moving the ball the defense turned it up and the lights went on. That's on the coach keeping these guys motivated IMO.
The Jets went out there last year and won a defensive battle but historically they play bad out there …. I mean franchise bad…aside from the AFC championship game they’ve been shutout more than once, there was the Tebow game, there was the ‘96 opener, hell even a game they won they needed a fourth down PI call to squeak by. I could go back even more and bring up the 46-3 loss when Holtz was the coach - a loss so bad Phil Islin (2 owners ago) had a literal coronary…. BUT…..I think they win this one Sunday. In a slight way this season kind of reminds me of 2002. That’s because the Jets also started 1-3 that year and also lost a close home game to KC. You old timers will remember that game. They decided to start Chad Pennington for the first time and he played a great game - KC pulled it out in the final minute. But the Jets were set at QB having won 8 of their final 11 games actually winning the division…. But anyway this is a game they need and the schedule certainly lightens up after the BYE.
Can Zach have 2 decent games back to back? Breece Hall has no snap limit this week and we know he's itching to run wild on Denver. I am a little bit paranoid that Denver will be taking cheap shots and headhunting. I hope not, but we know who the head coach is
Assuming the Jets don't get the same officiating they received against the Chiefs, they should win this game. I think folks here should hold their horses about Zack. I think Chris Collinsworth exaggerated how good Zack was on Monday night. Do I need to remind you of that costly fumble turnover by Zack at the end? By the way, Brook, Number 12 belongs to only one Jet player.
Well losing aaron rodgers / JETS losing is in full effect on local TV.... CBS just switched the 4pm game to KC/MINN, so looks like I have to go back to the bar for this one.
line shifted .5 but still a 1.5 dog (granted on the road) wondering what the Vegas guys are thinking about Zach....
