And unrelated to the WC, our match at the weekend was called off for a waterlogged pitch. In August! The summer over here has been bullshit.

I saw my favorite team Crystal Palace lost to Arsenal who played with only 10 guys. Is that super rare or does that happen sometimes?

 

Not uncommon, but you'd probably only have two or three sendings off per team, per season.

Some seasons, you'll have no-one sent off at all.

I'll have the games on in the background as I work, I'll be rooting for your boys, and then at 3 rooting for PSV vs. Arsenal, because 1) I'm Spurs, and 2) PSV has 3(!) Americans. Then tonight I'm heading out to Citi Field to catch my boys NYCFC vs. Orlando. We've had a terrible year but it's a nice evening to go have a beer and a sausage and watch soccer!

 

I'm watching (mostly listening tbh)-- they've had some chances. Any result still possible. Copenhagen's a decent team but you'd like to get all 3 points at home, especially with Bayern and Manchester United in the group (although ManU been terrible lately)

 

0-2 now but 2nd yellow shown to a Copenhagen defender means the Danes are down to 10 men, 74th minute. Can they get something

Thank goodness Copenhagen was given a red card which allowed Galatsaray SK to tie it 2-2 and most likely saving Danish lives in tbe process … lmao

I half-listened to Bayern-ManU in the background while working. And in other news, I just recently learned calling them ManU is actually an insult. But, so far, seems fitting.
